It only took a week, but my car is now sitting at the port. I can now stop checking the phone # 6 times a day since it's probably going to be a week or so at the earliest before I have any hope of getting on a ship.

Agreed, in that case nothing actually happened to the car. I think it's crazy they still sell it 'as new' if there was actual damage during shipping. Sure, they fix it according their standards but geez...

Svache, I have a feeling your car will be popping up very soon. Hehe. Next Monday. Don't forget to tell your CA to not drill holes on the front bumper. I requested for mine so it has a clean look on the front.

I ordered my customer HI plates by the way. It will have "F30".

lol I can only hope but I have no idea as of yet. Hopefully my CA will give me some good news tomorrow

Hmm.. idk about the plates, I like how it looks without plate up front but don't feel much for getting a ticket for not having a front plate (and I'm always 'lucky' when it comes to those things ). I got a shiny chrome plate with the BMW logo to put up front while I wait for my plates to come in so it's not going to be all ugly hehe

'F30' is cool, I was thinking about something like that but decided to go with something more personal instead (didn't order it yet so wont put it on here, it's the last possible combo available and don't want anyone to steal it lol). I currently have custom plates on my X5 and will have to wait until I get those back from the dealership before I can get new ones (they will remain on the X5 after I turn it in and will be swapped with the new ones for the 3 series once those come in).

Been driving without front plates for almost 3 years. :-). I had a Countryman for a year and i would always have a reason if I get pulled over. "the car is so new that they don't have from plate brackets ye". hehe. Either way the BMW logo front plate i have always liked too. At least we don't have those big plate holders.

Well finally. Looks like my car is going to arrive late today or tomorrow and I'll be picking it up Friday morning! Turns out my dealer actually had two F30s that were held up at the VPC. My 328 and a 335. Apparent "carrier issues."

My CA says Florida cars only sits at the port for a week and then 13 days on water. Not sure how true this is tho

It's actually not technically a Florida car though, since I'm taking Performance Center Delivery. It gets its own priority code (9) in the system, etc... so it's a bit different.

Basically it just needs to be sitting in the delivery center on May 10th. I'm sure it will be (it better be), so I'm mostly just obsessing for the fun of it.

CA confirmed my car is at the VPC!!! Car arriving at dealership on Saturday. He tried to tell me they need it for a day to go through service to which I said - no way, I'm coming to get it Saturday - make it happen. Hmmmm
