Sport trim with a black key fob with chrome luxury accent?

I've just placed an order for my 335i with Sport Trim. However, I really dislike the black key fob with red accent! I REALLY do.
Do you think it would be possible to get it with chrome accent? Can my CA make that change or request?
I hope this is not a stupid question!
Any input is appreciated.

I suspect that they can all work with any car once programmed for the car.

I never gave any thought to the fob before, but I just checked and mine has the dreaded red accent stripe - it's not bad.

Considering you had to go check to see if yours even had a stripe it's clearly not that bad

HAHAH, how many times do you look at it? I mean, without comfort-access you only need to lock and unlock the car with it and with comfort-access you never see the key fob.

chrome before the red? not in agreement with the choice but if it is that much of an issue I would imagine they'll swap your keys and charge you a little for the time to program em.

Touche Comfort access sounds great, I can't wait to experience the luxury of not knowing what my keys look like!

I figure I'll throw the fob in my brief case and probably never take it out, use the spare on the weekends.

The dealer would most likely have to order one through the parts department. I believe BMW key fobs are in the area of $200 each plus the labor to program it. Not sure it's worth $200-400 for just for a color change.

In that case, I will pass then. I wouldn't pay to have the color changed.
Thanks.

I was hoping to do this as well, but it doesn't work if the key is in a bag, it has to be in your pocket. Very big key as well like carrying another cellphone!

so the new comment will be "is that a key in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?"

Never hurts to ask the sales associate to comp you one to keep you happy. You'll be surprised. What's the worst that can happen. They say no.

I agree the chrome one looks worthy to be a BMW key. That stupid red strip looks like a key to a VW GTI. Not a $55k 335i or even a $45k 328i. Benz, Audi, and Lexus keys look like a luxury car keys. Heck even the Mini key looks better lol.

The red on the key and on the dash is actually quite subtle and looks nice, definitely not as bright as the pictures make it out to be.

Or, you can buy the F30 key fob case, the basic version is all black

Very good.

I literally never noticed it has a red stripe. I pick it up. I put it in my pocket.

How many people are you trying to offend here?

Here is my take:

I rather take the red over the chrome. Chrome seems to be very tacky and ghetto in my opinion and people this is why BMW created lines everyone's taste is different.

Next you are going to say why did BMW use 18" alloy wheels that look cheap like a VW Gti 18" wheel! They have have put some chrome 22" on there!

I suspect somebody will come up with a mod to replace those with carbon or something like that. So the chrome must be possible as well.
