Grannies... haha.. I'll stay away.. Also Corollas especially in the Markham.. lol

I had them wash the car and I must say they did a Great Job.. Tell Lee to wash it in house and not outsource cleaning it... Big difference... I don't know what wax they used.. but its been great.. with the recent rains I noticed how great it is.. my car looks spotless (touchwood) still, after a week.

Ok.. 40+ votes later it seems like 60% people noticed none or minor issues with their car.. But what's disturbing is that the other 40% had major issues with their F30.. That's messed up..

I've had mine for only a week, put 500km on yet to date.. Everything good, but I'm fretting something messed up is around the corner...

I had my first issue today! Not sure if its because I went mountain biking today and drove with my clips on.

Happened to me on my 2007 E92 335i about 1 year in, the thing just ripped off (in half) one day mid-shift and I thought I exploded the transmission or something.

Yay warranty

The dash rattle, b pillar rattle, scratch on the gauge cluster (this was most likely the dealer) BUT the real bad one is idrive issues with iphone 4. When I drive into a tunnel with iphone hooked up to the USB I get static. If I plug into the USB sometimes the system wont phone the iphone (but will charge it lol) and lastly it will lock up when streaming wireless and I fast forward 5-7 songs in a row........So enough issues.

Here's a new problem I haven't read about yet. There is a loud metallic creaking/screeching sound coming from the exhaust area. The sound lasts .5-1 second long and happens when I let off the throttle. Sometimes it happens when the car is started. It kind of sounds like a heat shield scrapping against another metallic object. It happens quite often. About 10-15 times every mile. Anyone else experience this?

Is it really random, or does it happen (or at least mostly happen) while you are listening to mp3's?

My iDrive seems to slow down when I am listening to mp3's from USB.

Problem after 50km

Well, my car (335i 8ATs) developed a pretty serious issue within 3 hrs of leaving the dealership... collected at 27kms and by 53kms as I pulled out of a gas station...

there was a clunk from the rear followed by (on the screen & HUD)

1. transmission failure
2. drivetrain fault
3. clutch overheat
4. transmission overheat
5. tyre press monitoring fault

Car went into limp home mode. so pulled over, shut off, waited a few minutes and started 'er up again (on the advise of BMW teleservice). All seemed good with the exception of "transmission overheat, leave engine running to cool and wait a few minutes". So waited the 5 minutes till everything reset and shut off and restarted car again. All seemed ok, so drove home. BMW tech came by and said couldn't fault anything, no leaks, no unusual noises and nothing on the diagnostics.

The next morning drove to the dealership to get the car thoroughly examined. When the techs drove it same faults as the previous evening started appearing. After a day, they reckon it's "corrupted software" and they're waiting for some sort of software/key or version from BMW AG to reload.

My first Bimmer and tell ya what, worst experience thus far... Had my car a grand total of 12hrs and it's back in the shop till Monday. Only remote upside is the dealership's been pretty good thus far 'cept they could only get me a loaner X1 s18i.

All this in Singapore too where the 335i costs the equivalent of USD $220,000!

Here's hoping the claimed software fix fixes things. Somehow, I'd rather the wheel vibration issue.....

Sorry to hear these. Hopefully these will be resolved and you will be driving your car on the roads enjoyably in the near future.

It has happened to me 4 times now in the first week I have had the car and has always happened when I have been listening to mp3 from a USB flash disk

I updated the software with the bin file on the BMW site and that did not fix the issue as it occured again even on the newest version. I am going to try a different flash drive and reformat it.
