I wouldn't get too excited... everything I've read has indicated that those are all supposed to be dealer installed accessories. It wouldn't be the first or last time a salesman was mistaken.

I didn't ask for the perf exhaust pricing but here were the prices for the M Perf brakes and the carbon mirror caps:
Description Wholesale MSRP
Z2C BMW Performance Brakes 407.00 605.00
Z2N Perf Brakes red calipers 1,888.00 2,555.00
Z21 Carbon Fiber Mirror Caps 490.00 694.00

I'm thinking of going with just the mirror caps, and possible the performance exhaust, but I haven't decided on that yet

Our M Sport builds are pretty similar, see my sig.

What is Z2C BMW Performance Brakes? I never heard of it. At only MSRP $605 it sounds pretty close M Sport brakes pricing.

Also... how much was Black Kidney Grilles (Z06) as a factory option?

IIRC, the Exhaust was about $1250 list ordered as part of the factory build I think.

Why are the mirror caps so expensive as a factory option? Arnt they like $100 each list plus install (which someone on this forum actually shows how to DIY - why they do not just snap in like the original cap is beyond me). The point of getting something done as part of the original build is that it is cheaper for everyone.

M Performance Parts Installed at VPC

Just a quick update to this thread: I just confirmed with my CA, the M Performance brakes (Z2C and Z2N) will be installed at the VPC, so I am guessing that means the other M Performance parts will also be installed at the VPC if you include them with your order. I just added the red brakes to my order. ( I decided to hold off on the exhaust and the grilles, I would like to install the grilles myself and I'm still not sold on the sound of the M Perf exhaust)

Awesome! I am waiting for the November production-- hopefully by then they will allow some more customization: I would like to add the M Sport brakes (blue calipers) and Merino leather (or Nappa if available, but unlikely.)

Thanks for the update.

Where did you hear that Merino leather might be available at some point in the F30?

It should be part of the BMW Individual customization options-- if you go to the bmw.co.uk configuration for a 3series, it allows you to pick BMW Individual exterior colors (i.e. Moonstone, Tanzanite blue, Smokey Topaz, and Citrine Black) and BMW individual interior trims/upholstery-- I am assuming these will trickle down to US orders sometime soon.

Only thing I don't like is that you cannot pick the blue trim finisher with the BMW Individual black leather-- it only allows you to choose the high gloss black finisher.
