If yours is a UK car with a build date of 1st Nov or after, you'll have the new Nav. BMW UK have confirmed this (in writing) for the F30, and my dealer also phoned BMW HQ to confirm. If you're still wondering, I'd just get your dealer to call BMW (UK) HQ, and they'll tell them. I spoke to 3 different people at BMW who all confirmed it, so you'll get the new nav |

No worries! The new system is great, the Touring I test drove last week had it in, and that was one of the stipulations I had: that my F30 had to have the new nav system! Dealer initially said they didn't know when it was coming to the saloon, so I phoned BMW UK customer information, and they confirmed straight away in writing, then the dealer did the same. It is worth waiting for, I was even prepared to delay my order to make sure my car had it, but thankfully I didn't need to

Hi visiting from f10 forum while my car is at the dealers and I have F30 loan car.
The 2013 pro sat nav and extended black display is worth the wait. The UK F10 date slipped from July to mid September . My dealer put back my order to the third wee in September and I was one of the first with the system. It's very fast at calculating routes. Traffic information is real time accurate and replans almost instantly. The Google search and the iPhone send destination to car is brilliant images of the route can be displayed in many ways arrows through to 3D pop ups. I like the Google map image, it's like flying over the route. With split screen selected 3D junction images pop up to help you. You can even see pictures or Google earth views of your destination. Like me you will sit on your drive turning the iDrive control and will marvel at how the image on the screen is the same as through the glass as you revolve round your street. If you are waiting like I had to it is worth it. Just set aside a few hours to sit on your drive and play with the toys when the car arrives. |

Hmm, thanks for the info. I sent a email to my sales guy here to see what he says. Sounds like a cool options and if I'm already paying for it, I'd like the newest version.
Any ideas if you don't get it now it can be upgraded via software in the future? |

It's not just a software update, it has a new processor and GPU etc., so I wouldn't think it would be available as a software update, though you may be able to get some of the new features with a software update, if the new graphics etc. can run ok on the old system. A hardware update would probably be possible at some point, but I'd think it would be very expensive! |

That's definitely not the case in the UK, so I'm surprised it's so different for elsewhere in Europe!

If you want to see the new iDrive via some hands-on video, check out this link: http://www.wired.com/autopia/2012/05/bmw-idrive-4x/
Panoramio Street View seems pretty interesting, and useful, if you're not familiar with the destination. |

And if you review the Wired link SamS sent, you'd see BMWNA 7 series customers didn't get the new digital dash for 2013, unlike Europe. |

Yes they will, for some countries at least. My December SA build is confirmed to have the new Nav. Mine is destined for New Zealand.
