while the interior certainly is better - hate to say it but still dig the e92. something about the way the new 4 just sits so high, has that higher hood line, etc. its just not the low, sleek sports coupe that the e92 is.
hopefully m4 gets serious and to the point

i only have one problem with this... that hood, why cut it off like that and not make it all the way to the grille and headlights.... huge eyesore in my opinion. otherwise it looks great.

Wow, comparison really shows how much better the f32 looks over the e92, this comes from an e92 owner who loves his car!
Seriously destroys it. The e92 looks very dated in comparison. |

It's nice but if you closely, the lower front end is very simular to the all new Mercedes Eclass.

i think the F3x has a more jock design; all its aim seems like sports and being aggressive at anything.
E9x on the other hand looks like the calm friend we always have, sometimes goes big but most the time, keeps a nice profile and most people like how he rolls. the e9x is a sleek "sunday cruiser" as you might call it whereas the F3x looks like its ready to beat the sorry asses of riced out cars |

I'm a fan of everything from the door back… but the car looks too flat, and sits like a Z4. I also really don't like the new front end design language… I'll sit this generation out I suppose.

Thank god the saggy rear end of the E92 is finally gone. Hopefully to never return. The C-Pillar is very nicely done on the F32, but the front bumper is just weird.

I feel just the opposite. I don't like many of the F3X interior cues such as the obtrusive "wrap around" section coming from the dash down to the iDrive controller, the "Ipad MINI on the dash" nav screen, the steering wheel design, etc. (..they aren't bad, but I prefer the E9X interior more), but I love the F3X exterior. |

I like it but idk, seems like it's missing something a little flair something to make it different from sedan.

Should have compared the F32 with the Pre-LCI E92, PRe-LCi looks so much better than LCI. The interior is def better on the F32 but I still like the look of E92.

Judging strictly on exterior looks (which is of course a very limited way to judge a car, and one that doesn't really track with the overall ownership experience), I think the F32 is in all material respects worse than the E92, which was worse in all material respects than the E46 coupe. I don't think BMW has made a car since the E46 M3 that could compare to the looks of that car. (I am admittedly biased in that I own one, but I also own an E90 and can concede that it is far from beautiful.)
As for the F30 vs. the E90, I do think the F30 looks better from the back, and as good or better from the side, but I HATE the front end of both the F30 and F32. I just can't get used to that schnoz, and I particularly hate the pedestrian-safety-oriented straight edge at the front of the hood. On the other hand, the pre-LCI front end on the non-M E90 is no great shakes either . . .

Wow!! the F32 blows away the E92 with a serious margin. It starts to get some of the auronautical design cues like Ferrari uses a lot on their latest releases. The car seems to be much more shaped by high speed air streams than the old one.
As much I'am dissappointed with the 1-series or SUV/SAV none sense they do, this one is looking again like a real bimmer should! Interior... not so certain, the new one seems a bit baroque. I would like to see less pointless surfaces and bends and less buttons but they seem to have added a few. |

Agreed. Feel like the new one is too soft, too refined, less performance oriented. This new gen is geared to business people, rather than being all-business (from the exterior styling IMO).

this. these are two things that baffle me about the interior design. strange choices that feel overly compartmentalized as opposed to flowing with the interior lines. now that idrive controller plane that runs up to the dash can be seen as a flowing continuous line, but unwisley so. it corrals the passenger away from the driver....in a bad way.
