LOL.. First off, thanks for all the love and cool words of encouragements you guys have sending my way. My inbox has been slammed since posting the last set of pics and its been hard to get back to everyone in a timely fashion, so my apologies for that. But i appreciate every last one. I've been starting to answer duplicate questions, so i figure the best way is to just post a quick update, and try to hit them all at the same time.
  1. I'm not in the US - can you make a set for me? I am hesitant to say yes only because i only work with the standard US F30 Halogen headlights without any of the extra/fancy adaptive lighting mechanisms. From what i understand, in other parts of the world, the F30 halogens have adaptive mechanisms in which the lights dip down, then up whenever you turn them on. But i have yet to get confirmation on this...
  2. Are there any other limitations with these headlights? Since the rings are extra wide/fat/deep, even with standard F30 halogens, once i put the rings on, their ability to be adjusted for vertical beam adjustment (using the white dial outside of the headlight housing) will be limited. There is a chance that you could detach the rings during adjustment as they won't be able to easily clear the lens trim due to their size/bulkiness. However, if bi-xenons are being added, i will insure that the beam line and cut-offs are adjusted properly so that the lights will be up as high as possible but not glare oncoming traffic or the drivers in front of you.
  3. How do you do the straight led segments? flexible strip led lighting attached with the strongest epoxy resin on the market (4400 psi)
  4. How do you keep the leds from burning out? i hear this issue come up time and time again, but this shouldn't happen if the current limiting circuit that supplies power to the LEDs are designed right. LEDs blow when they get too hot, and that usually occurs when too much current is supplied to them, which typically means they were driven too hard in an attempt to get them excessively bright. This looks a little bit better but at the cost of a much shorter LED lifetime. I hand picked the circuit board to power the straight LED segments i've added to the rings and hand tuned the voltage to insure that the LEDs are optimally bright without compromising the lifetime of the LEDs. They should never run hot to the touch. The circular part of rings are from an external supplier, but i am using those same circular LED rings on my car currently (been on there since last July), and there are no blown LEDS on them as of right now.
  5. When are these going to be available? The $64k question the short answer is i don't know. my goal is still get these on my own car in a few weeks from now, but looking at all the other projects i have going on, i would be optimistic to say i could make one set of headlights a month. sorry. However, if you just looking for the rings themselves and are willing to install them yourself, i could provide a faster turn-around time for sure.
Just a quick update about the lights themselves... I added an extra small LED segment to the accent piece attached to the low-beam bowl rings to sort of balance out the other horizontal (hockey stick) extension piece. The accent piece was present in the previous set of pics, but i added an LED segment to it so that it also lights up now. I think it adds a little more symmetry and balance to the overall scheme, and i hope it looks ok to you guys too. BTW.. the BMW 2016 LCI headlights also has this small accent piece, but its not lit up.

Sorry for the crappy/blurry/hazy phone camera pics, but thats all i have right now to take pics with. Also the projectors are loose (not secured yet) in the bowls so apologies if they appear off-centered, they probably are. Rings are also not secured, so may not be perfectly aligned. The pics are are to give you an idea of the quality of the rings themselves.

btw, do you have an idea of how much you would charge for a set just like yours?

I'm selling the very first headlights designed by blueaudi.
I just got a 4 series and turned my 3 series lease in so I took out the gorgeous lights. I wish they would fit in my 4 series, but they don't.

I'm going to address what I think would be frequently asked questions.
Question 1. Do they report an error?
Yes i did have to get the error notification coded out. The dealership never noticed or said anything every time I took it in for scheduled maintenance.
2. How much did you pay to get them installed?
I paid $70 to get those and black grill installed at the same time. But my mechanic always gives me a good deal, because i was quoted 100 or 150 from others before I found my dude.
3 How awesome are they..
Really fucking awesome!

PM with your offer, and I'll sell to the highest bidder on Friday 11:59pm

Thanks blueaudi for making me such amazing lights.
I feel honored to have your art.

Been visiting my girlfriend.
Just stopped by my house to snap a few. These are the ones used in the first post by blueaudi in this thread.

Yeah, nice job mkcpu Looks dope ... only a few, and only the 2nd set of F30 quads around that i know of

And speaking of... i've hit so many delays in doing my own second gen set ... grrrr but i did manage to set the beam alignment on the 4 projectors this weekend (in between doing my taxes). So i just have to glue the corona rings in and put the lens back on.

I'm jealous. My halogen lights are ugly and have shit output. I have all of the parts (headlights, projector kit, LEDs, acrylic, etc.) sitting in my garage but I'm too lazy to start the build.
