Hey all, so im looking for a nice lip for my sportsline bumper as its a lease and i dont want to spend the money to do a M-sports conversion. (i should have just gotten a m-sport to begin with but i got this sportsline for a hell of a deal).

But im looking for a nice lip to add to the car to give it a more.. aggressive look. im not trying to go overboard on a lip but something nice.. i cant seem to find many out there.

says 2012-1015 i do not know why it would not fit the 2016? Thoughts?

yea im just worried, i have a BSM and this is just black.. i am worried it wont look good unless i get it painted. lol

I wouldn't let the color stop you. Or the fact that it only says 2012-15. If it fits 2015, it'll fit your 2016. They probably just never updated the post.

yea the year does not bother me that much because im like 95% sure it will fit.. i just dont know about the color.. i dont want it to look dumb... im like 75% sure im going to get it regardless.. i mean its only like $120 so its not alot lol.

And look at it this way... if there was any color that you could have that didn't match 100% and was slightly off, it would be black. White, red, blue, grey, silver etc. would all be much more noticeable if you tried to color match the lip and it was slightly off. I'm sure it'll look fine.

Didnt think it was worth 500 for a lip.. seeing as a new m sport front would be like 1000.. would rather save for that.. i ended up getting the lip.. will install it this weekend.

Post up some photo after intsallation, btw it is 3D Design "style"not the real deal, i pick it up for around 200USD. Now considering going for M Sport XDDD

I bought the RW Carbon Sport Line Front Lip which is probably the one you saw for $500. The fitment was straight garbage and it was a huge pain in the ass to install. Would definitely not recommend it to anyone.

I am considering getting one from ebay for $119, polyurethane. Anyone have any recommendation on install? Would 3M double sided tape hold or should I use screws? The ad says there isn't any installation instructions or hardware for install.

I used screws and double sided tape. Definitely screws for sure

i also have both, but going to try just the tape to see how sturdy it feels.. most likely will have to use screws as well.. but it is a lease.. so idk if i should use screws into the bumper.

dont know how crazy they are with that stuff at lease return lol.

well, it came in today.. so i will keep you posted.. this snow storm might make me wait till next weekend to put it on.. but we shall see lol.

I ordered one too, I should get it in about a week or so.

Forgot to mention, when mine came in.. it did come with hardware.. no tape. self tap screws as well as bolts and nuts.. depending on what way you wanted to go.


Will install it hopefully this weekend.. last weekend.. was very snowy so opted out...

I got a steal on a sport line as well! Paid $45k for a brand new 340i with Navi, came standard with B58, sport auto w/ paddles, moonroof, Harmon Kardon, Comfort Access, backup cam, a lip would give it a more aggressive look! I also have black exhaust tips and blacked out grill on an Alpine white car with 19s. Would match quite well!
