Finally! My First BMW!

Pick her up earlier today and loving every second of being around the steering wheel.

First thing i want to do is add a backup camera. I'm stuck between getting the full OEM with PDC for 2,642.00 (Quoted by bimmertech) or the OEM integration with the option of adding PDC later on for $699. Money isn't the issue here.

What do you guys think?

Pics below (not very good at taking pics tho)

I'd go with just the camera first. Less complicated and you might find you don't really need the sensors. Car looks great! You're going to love it.

Welcome and enjoy your new ride!

Go for the camera with PDC full OEM option because you will end up using the sensors to pick up things the camera might not be able to see.

How much do you think the labor cost (on average) would be to install the back up camera at a shop? (OEM for $699 by Bimmertech)

Congrats on the beautiful new ride! There's nothing like being behind the wheel of an Ultimate Driving Machine. I started with an E36 10yrs ago, stepped up to an E46 4yrs later and after a month in my F30 I can't imagine any other brand of vehicle. Enjoy!

Congrats on the gorgeous BMW

Personally, I would go with the full OEM camera + PDC especially if money isn't the issue. The way I am looking at it, might as well get all the work now in one go, instead of adding PDC at a later date.

Although my car doesn't have backup camera, I have driven numerous vehicles with backup camera (with and without PDC) and imo, having PDC is more useful than just camera alone.

The shop closes to me that's an authorized dealer by bimmertech qouted me $100 per hour and installion would take around 4-5hr and 10hr+ if your're gonna do full OEM with PDC.

Thanks and she's gorgeous alright I gave it some thought and decided to do the full OEM with PDC. I was quoted $100 per hour with an installation time of 10+hrs.

Congrats! That's looks clean and nice!

I would just go with the camera.

Also, is your right angel eyes out? Or is it the camera angle?

Are those OEM XENONS or Depo retrofits?

I actually went for the full kit. It's just the camera angle and I would assume it's OEM XENONS since the car came with lightning package.

Okay cool. In that case you're good! The reason why I asked is because it looked like it's out in the picture and the depo retrofit is known to have this problem.
