Arrow OFFICIAL RELEASE - The V801: Flow Formed, Full-Face Mesh

We are proud to announce the release of our newest flow formed model, the VMR|Wheels V801. The V801 is a premium full-faced mesh design that utilizes flow form construction to reduce weight. I've included our press release below, along with further detail. Let us know what you think!

FITMENT. The V801 is offered in specs that will fit more aggressive than your stock wheels, but without causing rubbing issues, even on moderately lowered vehicles. No fender rolling or liner trimming required. We know what sizes work because we’ve put in the time and have the experience to make proper recommendations.

FLOW FORMED TECHNOLOGY. Traditionally, full face wheel designs are not going to be light due to the amount of material present in the face of the wheel. But heavy wheels are bad, reducing unsprung weight and rotational mass is invaluable! We saw this conundrum as a challenge to create a full-face wheel that offers all the style, without the drawbacks. The result is a high performance wheel that need not sacrifice aesthetics to achieve our weight goals. When the 18” arrive we’ll be providing official weight figures on this design but so far we know the 19” will tip the scales in the low 20lbs range.

MACHINED IN HOUSE. The V801 wheel is machined in-house, in our Southern California facility specifically for your vehicle. No centering rings or aftermarket lug bolts are required. We take out the guesswork and believe the best fitting wheel is one that doesn’t require any accessories to install properly.

STYLE. The V801 is an angular concave, full-face mesh design with highly detailed features. This wheel was designed to fit a variety of vehicle modification styles, from mild to wild. The single color finishes, Hyper Silver and Anthracite Metallic, will provide a slightly more subtle look while the new Mercury Black Metallic and Titanium Black Shadow will provide a more modified, aftermarket feel. We’re also really excited to see the V801 go through our custom finish treatment! Though there are no V801’s there yet, our full custom powder coat album can be viewed here -> https://www.flickr.com/photos/vmrwhe...57627001100117

BRAND. VMR Wheels has been an industry leader for over a decade and continues to develop new styles with no plans of slowing down. We're car people and we care just as much about your vehicle as we do our own. If you have any issues we are available for customer support via phone @ 714-442-7916 M-F 8AM-5PM PST or via email at sales@velocitymotoring.com. All VMR Wheels carry a 1 year warranty against manufacturer defects.

VALUE. The 18” V801 start at $300/wheel while the 19” variant starts at $340/wheel. Wheel & Tire packages are also available, mounting and road-force balancing performed in-house. Contact us for further details!

Mercury Black Metallic

Titanium Black Shadow

Anthracite Metallic

Hyper Silver

As photoshoots are released and customers begin to send in photos we’ll update this thread accordingly. 19” are IN STOCK, 18” arriving late June. We’re really looking forward to seeing these on a variety of cars, please contact us if you’re interested in being one of the first!

I won't be able to confirm anything until we receive the 18" V801s on 6/29. If you can send over a brake template for your application, I can test it on one of the wheels and let you know. The M Sport brake upgrade on the F3x 335i/435i will not clear most aftermarket barrels. More than happy to check for you if you can get me the template!

We don't have an official weight yet, but it is a little over 23 lbs!

Ummm Ok....but what kind of template, paper?

You're telling me as a large manufacturer of alloy wheels, you don't have a template for a f3x bmw oem msport brake option?

We have tested our other 18" models against the M Sport brakes, so we can confirm that they do not clear. Once we get the 18s in, we can try to coordinate a test fit on an F3x with the M Sport brakes.

Templates are typically difficult to come by for OEM applications. I have not been able to locate one for this specific application, so if someone has access to one and can send it over in a .pdf, we will gladly check it against the wheels.

If someone happens to be local to the Orange County area, and is willing to make their car available, we can test fit the 18s on a car.

Here you go! This F31 is fitted with the Anthracite Metallic V801 staggered fitment.

I'll leave a picture of the Titanium Black Shadow V801 on a new M2 as well. More can be seen here.

The main difference between the two is that the Titanium Black Shadow has a polished face with a titanium clear coat applied. It's a darker finish than the Anthracite Metallic which is more of a darker version of our Gunmetal with a little more metallic flake.
