Why do some bumpers have the square tabs on each side under the headlight?

After lots of searching I've noticed some bumpers have square tabs under the headlight on each side of the bumper while some do not? Does the latter mean it's not an original bumper??

I've had the cold weather package since 1997 and love it. I have never had a heated steering wheel before ands am looking forward to this in winter.

As I just took my F34 LCI last week - same day (without night drive) I got confused with headlights look and thought they mistakenly installed me xenons instead of led headlights... Difference between looks of standard leds and xenons is minimal (standard leds are standard equipment on LCI version, vs adaptive ones where there is horizontal line splitting the upper and lower part)
Called the dealer to verify and he told me that lack of headlight washers is first indicator, as they are not needed for leds, while are mandatory for xenons.
I hope this can be of help.

But isn't the lighting package considered "xenon"?

Correct, leds now come as standard in F34 LCI.

Copayment is for adaptive leds or xenons.
