This size is only used by a couple chassis's, and therefore we are not sure if we will have enough demand from the community to warrant another design in this size. We do offer that size in the EC-7 design. If there is enough demand, we may consider producing in the future

Check out this E46 M3 with the new APEX 18×9.5” ET22 FL-5 wheels in Race Silver. These are wrapped with 265/35-18 Pirelli P-Zero Trofeo R Tires. This setup requires 3.8° camber on the front and about 2° on the rear.

Saw the SM-10s in person on an F31 around here in ATL. Looked awesome, but couldn't help but feel it would have looked even better in 19s. Sorry, I know it's been said many times before! Just thought I'd let you know that you have another buyer if the SM10s come out in 19s

Appreciate the feedback! We are considering 19" options for the future

Looks a little funky.. perhaps because the tires are one size too small? Are those sizes really what was installed?

We are reaching out to the customer to confirm tire sizes and will update accordingly. We typically recommend going with 235/40-18 or 245/40-18 tires as a square setup with our 18x8.5 ET35 wheels.

Garage List
Any updates on making these in 19s?
Particularly 19x8.5 ET30-35, 19x9.5 ET40-45 for the F3x. I'd be very interested if they could be made in the 23lb or less range.

Is this dude from ATL? I think this is the exact car I was talking about earlier when I saw the SM-10s in person!

Interested why he went with 255/35 instead of stock 255/40s?

Appreciate the comments gents. 19" diameter will follow, however we do not have a hard ETA just yet. We'll keep the community in tune as we learn more.

What's the recommended tire size for 340i xDrive? (square)
Unlike the ARC-8 and EC-7 designs in that specific 18x8.5" ET35 wheel, the new SM-10 has a more concave profile 2 face

The SM-10 18x8.5" ET35 will have the exact same face as the 18x9" ET30 in this photo (the only difference is the width and offset):

We suggest either 235/40-18 or 245/40-18 for rotatable square fitments.

My stocks are 225/40R19F 255/35R19R
I would think 18's would require a 45 sidewall if 225/235/245 section width, or 255/40R18

Stock front tire - 225/40-19
26.09" tall

- - - - - - - - - -

Suggested front tire for square fitment - 245/40-18
25.72" tall

Difference in relation to stock tire = -0.37" / -1.4 % shorter

- - - - - - - - - -

Proposed 245/45-18 in question
26.68" tall

Difference in relation to stock tire = 0.59" / 2.2 % taller

As you can see, the 245/40-18 is well within the appropriate range, while the 245/35-18 deviates further from the target height. Slightly shorter tires offer better gearing with no fitment implications, while the taller tire negatively effects gearing but more importantly could cause fitment issues under load or while making u-turns etc (rubbing through fender liners or potentially damaging the fenders). It is possible to run 245/45-18, however it would not be our first choice.

With that said, 255/40-18 is a perfect tire in terms of height, but we typically only suggest a tire that wide at the front of the car for F30/31 customers using the car on track, as they will have adjustable camber plates to ensure the tire does not rub the outer front fenders. It is a bit wide (and unnecessary) for a street car you could say.

I would do 235/45R18 or 255/40R18 probably.
Agreed 255 may have fitment issues if lowered.
You mentioned you were currently running the factory 19" wheels and tires, therefore I was working off of your current front tire size (225/40-19) to show you the differences in overall height.

There are PLENTY of people running 255/40/18's square. Fitment is not an issue at all with that size especially with 8.5ET35 wheels. The ONLY issue I've had with that size is the reduced selection of performance tires in 255/40/18. PSS's sure, Conti EC's ok. Even RE71r's but thats about it. For track tires you really gotta drop down to the 245/40/18 which is shorter than the OEM 26" diameter but then you have a wide range of 200TW tires to choose from and the only 18" tire currently offered in PS4.
