Hello all, I will be getting my new 4 series in about February and will also love to join you guys to get some coding done to add some cool features to my car if possible.

Is it easy to do, and does it require special or expensive equipment? I would love to learn how to do this.

I live an hour away right now, but I'm moving down to the Humble area sometime towards the middle of next month.

Is anyone still still available to code?

Just picked up my car but really want to get at least the Enhanced BT coded.

I live NW side but work everywhere so location is not a problem

I'm moving down to the humble area this coming weekend, give me a chance to get settled in, and I'll be able to code it for you.

word of advice to everyone , if you have one of the cars that BMW says they will replace the brain module on ( or give you a few bucks not to ) you WILL lose all programming

I had the combox retrofit done back at the beginning of the month and had to go back and recode a few minor things, mainly the euro-spec stuff, but I still had the enhanced bluetooth and half of the coding for the LED bulbs.

I lost everything .. I spent two days working with BMW geniuses ( via phone ) to get the blue tooth working properly . I would say that the techs did not do the best job ... they just installed and walked away.

The only thing that survived was the updated NAV maps ... everything else is gone.

Speaking of coding ..

What codes do you recommend for a 2012 F30 328I with the luxury and technology package - not sure what can be done with the new combox installed

I want fold/unfold the mirrors when lock / unlock
Open/ close windows
remove start up screen
dvd while in motion
disable seat belt ding

not sure if i can get these to work
enhanced blue tooth
sport transmission
idrive office
enhanced cluster

Suggestions ?

Which dealership did you use? I went to Houston North and didn't have any problems after it. The only thing I did have to do with the Bluetooth was update it again.

Seems like your car is pretty loaded, so I don't see why none of those codes won't work. I haven't done a enhanced cluster, so I'm not too sure what all that involve. I can tell you that the last luxury line car I did the sport transmission on ended up having to go back and get the sport shifter installed because it threw a code after I did it. Everything worked as it should, but the car said it had the wrong shifter in after I did the coding.

Momentum is the only dealership I've used. There's a lot of mixed reviews about these dealers but I've yet to find one that is mod friendly with SAs that aren't POS.

My normal SA knows fully what all I have done to my car coding wise(I have the Diesel, so not a whole lot I can do with mods), and hasn't said anything. I can say that North is a Dinan dealership, so you may get a little more leeway with them.
