F31: OEM 359M or OEM 513M
Ok fellow enthusiasts, I'm here asking for opinions on which setup you like. Obviously, it will come down to my personal preference but some discussion and pictures to get us talking is always enjoyable.
I've been running square 359's over the past few months and as perfect as they are, the comfort with the 35 profile is less than ideal on these awful inner loop Houston roads. So, I just swapped to the 513's this week and comfort has improved a lot with the 40 profile and the style has definitely grown on me. I don't want to keep both sets so lets see which will make the cut and I'll get a proper shoot with the winner OEM 359M 19x9 et31 square with 245/35 VS OEM 513M 18x9 et29 front 18x10 et40 rear with 255/40 square |

I prefer lighter color/silver wheels on dark colored cars, so immediately I think the 359's look better. I would only have darker wheels on a lighter colored car. Plus I just like the design and bigger size of the 359's. Both look great but I'd go for the 359's.

513m. I have them too! Plus they're easier to clean. I've been lazy and haven't washed my wheels and they look gunmetal-ish with the M performance brake dust lol.

Thanks for the feedback guys! Looks like my decision to go with the 513's will stick.
The brake dust with these pads are ridiculous haha. Are you also staggered with square 255/40? |

I am thinking to go with the same setup as yours. However, In Picture #4. Rears look very stretched compared to fronts. Is that because of shadow? can you post more pictures? |

with a 265/40 rear you'll have to stretch 235/45 on the 9" front for x-drive.
if you weren't real low you could actually put a 285/35 on the rear with the 255/40 front. it'd still be within limits for x-drive however the rear tire shoulder would poke some. |

I like the idea of 235/45 front and 265/40 Rear. Shows 0% difference overall height. Thanks

Just throwing this out there, but I wouldn't even consider a staggered setup with these wheels. Would go square with 18x9 ET29 to reduce understeer and reduce wear on the transfer case.

I've actually found a local guy willing to swap his 9" fronts (M4) for my 10" rears so we can both go square

IMHO, the 513M offset is too aggressive on the F3x. But they are one of the best looking wheels BMW produces.
