iDrive 5 & Spotify syncing not working

Hi! My 330i is running iDrive 5 and I recently got spotify premium to play in the car as i know there is a dedicated spotify app in media, not just normal bluetooth. i’ve seen the app before and it won’t come up for me anymore. i’ve tried everything, the USB, resetting iDrive, turning my phone on and off, opening spotify a certain way, disconnecting and reconnecting my phone from the car. nothing seems to get the app to come back. I do have an active subscription for the ConnectedServices, so i have all the other apps like weather, flickr, yelp, news, etc. but not spotify. when my friend got in my car and plugged his phone in it paired right up and the app reappeared, when i try right after it won’t work for me. super strange! any insight would help a lot!

Have Spotify appearing/ dissapearing constantly too

I have the most luck having my iphone plugged in to the armrest USB before pushing the ignition button. This seems to bring up the enhanced Spotify and Amazon music apps more often. That being said, it's still random and not consistent.

Does Carplay also act up?
