Hi @TheNine90

can you please follow up on this? I have the same error code.
I too retrofitted an NBTevo iDrive controller (with touch speller ECU) in place of a non-NBTevo iDrive controller.

I read somewhere that the iDrive controller should never be coded but now that I built up some confidence in VO-coding and NCD-coding with E-Sys, I don't see a reason why coding the ZBE4 with my current FA + SA-Salapa orders that I added for my NBTevo should do any harm.

Any thoughts?

Just make sure the fa is correct and you can code it.

I saw in some cars they install idrive controller touch without TBX ecu. That is the reason why they never vo code controller.

I actually coded the touch ECU and it was fine! No issues at all. In fact, it even let me get rid of a diagnostic error about the ECU of the Touch box not being coded.

Hello all. So I also updated to the NBT EVO with ID5/ID6 in my 2014 f30. My f30 originally came with a touch idrive controller. My retrofit was coded by Bimmertech. My current idrive controller works perfectly but I want to change to the ceramic idrive controller. If I purchase the ceramic idrive controller will I also have to code it or will it be plug and play? Besides staying away from GXX controllers, is there a specific model that would work?
