Post How to increase the sensitivity of the photochromic rear view mirror.

Very good, I would like to raise the sensitivity of the photochromic rear view mirror, as I put the tinted windows and the darker the light of the rest of cars does not affect both the interior mirror, however, sometimes if that annoys through the sides ...

A greeting.

A greeting.
Hi mate!

I used these after having my windows tinted:

FEM_BODY 3120 ISP_HECKSCHEIBE hell -> dunkel // Change Interior mirror to take tinted rear window into account when dimming mirrors
FEM_BODY 3120 CODDT_00_SCAL_DIM_ECR_LIN werte = 20 -> 32 // Qty of dimming on outside left mirror
FEM_BODY 3120 CODDT_01_SCAL_DIM_ECR_LIN werte = 20 -> 32 // Qty of dimming on outside right mirror

I have to comment, I have tried it in the garage and indeed, the exterior mirrors darkened a lot more. Let's see if I can try it on the road at night and check the sensitivity with which they act ...

Great! The value of the sensitivity can be increased from 20 up to 39, but 32 was fine with me.

Oh my gawd!
Story of my life.
F31 / 2012.
My car was looking exactly like a fish ball. No tint at all. Recently tinted to limo version, almost pitch black and retrofitted the electric mirrors with auto dip (didn`t know about auto dimming)
Few evenings ago I saw my right mirror to be darker, left one the same, in my back a van with strong lights which I didn`t even see his lights because the auto dimming option.
I was wondering why is not everytime and now I saw this topic.
It feels really well with the 20 qty of dimming, so I will just have to code from hell to dunkel ?

Thank you/
Alex

There's a sensor in the rear view that detects the light level coming through the rear windscreen. The higher that level the more it dims the mirror. If the rear windscreen is tinted the light level is less and along with that so is the dimming. If you didn't see the lights of a van in back of you it's probably due to the limo black tint. With limo black tint I wouldn't expect the mirror to dim at all.

It's working fine.
Just coded for hell to dunkel and increased the dimming from 20 to 25.
I took the car for a 10 minutes drive and is amazing now as soon as somebody is in my back, even if the guy is 20 meters away from me

Is there any way for the mirrors to be dimmed always?
Even if nobody is in my back?
I prefer them to be always dimmed

Thanks in advance!

Just retrofitted them 2 weeks ago

Garage List
Does anyone know what these values do and how they affect in practical terms? I find that it is not dimming often enough. Already set ISP_heckscheibe to «dunkel»

CODDT_00_SCAL_SEN_DAZZ_00_LIN "normal" setting for sensors
74
Werte = 4A
the hex equivalent of 74 is 4A
CODDT_00_SCAL_SEN_DAZZ_01_LIN "dark" setting for sensors
26
Werte = 1A
again hex equivalent.
same for
CODDT_00_SCAL_SEN_DAZZ_02_LIN "light" setting for sensors
100
Werte = 64
