I've never encountered a forum where scamming was so prevalent. I can't recall one post on DSMtuners where someone was legit scammed. Maybe took way longer to get the product than anticipated but nothing like on this forum. It's sad.

I spent over 12 years on bimmerforums
From buying and having engines shipped, to me purchasing and selling wheels, small parts, rare parts, and everything in between, never had a single hiccup, as you said, maybe a delayed ship time here and there but never been scammed ever.
It just sucks that it exists so much now.

I have his phone number
If it's a real number, he texted me from it, I'm doing an address look up later today off it. I travel a lot

I just successfully sold my BM3 License w/o any hiccups to a lucky winner lol. We went thru Paypal and everything lined up, buyer thanked me for a smooth transaction..

Well there it is guys, i got my first ghosted buyer on here, after numerous PM's sent back and forth for him/her asking for my paypal, i sent a PM back with specific instructions on (8/29/20), now i hear crickets since now. I looked at potential buyers posts in the past and all i see are threads wanting to buy stuff, nothing else..:

I even gave him/her a chance yesterday if they still want, before i put them back up for sale. Today i sent a PM stating i will post a beware of user:

I literally have no clue why people offer to buy something, and then ghost, what's the point??
What do they gain? Lol this forum is really terrible for that I'm seeing, lot of shady people floating around I guess

Phonevalidator.com will tell you if it's a real number or VOIP. VOIP is a huge red flag. I ask for number and if iMessage is enabled then it's legit, I'll also ask for a FaceTime call. For Android users I ask for a Skype or any kind of video call to see the face and also the product. And I also record the call. I also ask for social media profiles and look for normal activity. These scammers have no conscience, disgusting scumbags. Be careful out there guys. Not just bimmerpost, a guy recently met me in person and was trying to sell me a fake iPhone. You wouldn't believe how many people fall for these scams easily.
