Not possible at all.

Mine's a German build and finished production late June, but won't hit my dealer until late July assuming there are no hiccups in transportation.

Unless BMW has completely changed shipping from SA procedures, you won't see your car before late August.

Looks like my best hope is to get on the Euphony Ace on July 6th. Either way, my dream of doing PCD in August may be over.

My car is finally in production w/an estimated completion date of 7/16.
Any idea if the above SA ship departure dates are still valid or if there's addional ones in mid-late July ?

My car is sitting at the port. There is a ship called Courageous Ace that MOL's website indicates is heading straight to USA from Durban. I have heard of ships going straight to USA from SA and bypassing Germany.

I am crossing my fingers that I get on this ship because there are a couple others that go through Germany but don't arrive to US until late August.

Matsui says they will be transferred, but as of 10 days ago or so they couldn't tell me what ship it's going to be. It was supposed to hit Germany on Thursday, so I will post as soon as I hear from them.

I'm hoping it's not Wallenius Wilhelmsen as they have ships running the 16th, with the next one out to Port Hueneme 7/29--which would suck.

I mean ... if there are no ports after Bremerhaven, or the ports listed after Bremerhaven on the itinerary aren't the ones where your car is to be delivered, then it's pretty obvious it's getting transferred to another vessel.

They emailed me. I also just saw that Orchid Ace is closing in on Bremerhaven and is ahead of the original schedule I got.

Hi, I'm on the verge of ordering a 2013 335i that's already in Production in SA. My dealer is telling me he estimates it'll take about 4 weeks for me to get it from now if I buy it but from what I've read on here that doesn't seem true. I got the last 7 digits of the VIN and tracked it using the 800 # on here. It's in production with a scheduled completion date of 7/24.

What's a realistic expectation for when I would get? This may determine whether or not I buy the car and they are asking for a non-refundable deposit since it's a manual transmission. If it's more than 2 months it seems like I'll be picking it up after all the 2014 cars are already on the lot. I don't really care whether I end up with a 2013 model but I also don't want to wait more than a few months.

That is a pretty realistic time table, actually.

Production takes 7-10 days.

Shipping takes about 14-21 days (from Germany), and about 28-35 days (from South Africa).

Of course, there are sometimes waiting periods before production, or from the time the vehicle is produced and has to await a ride on the carrier, to the vessel, to the carrier, to your dealership. This is where the variable time comes in.

But if it's already nearing completion of production, it could very well be in WI just over 28-35 days or so. There's just no guarantee. I'd plan for 5-6 weeks to be safer.

My car was on Orchid Ace which started it's journey on June 22nd to Bremerhaven and the US. The ETA for Brunswick was Aug 3rd so I was so pissed. I went ahead talked with my CA and got an update.

He said that the car is at VPC right now and I will get the delivery on 29th (Orchid Ace left Bremerhaven yesterday). The car may have switched vessels in Africa at some point, because Orchid Ace had like 21784378219647 stops till it gets here. Has anyone heard about their cars on Orchid Ace?

I'm excited now

I'm pissed because the original dealer inquiry said it was supposed to be at Port Hueneme 8/10--now it won't be there until the 22nd at which time I will be in Europe until the 28th.

Oh man that sucks. I am sorry. I hope mine won't have any more delays. You should ask them for throwing in some free stuff because of your patience (parts or accessories). They're off.

Also, did you directly contact Mitsui or checked it online? How can I learn if it really switched boats?
