Is there a way to name your profile? Mines shows up as (_ _ _ _ _). Doesn't looks like I can enter a name, even when I click the blank dashes.

Yes, you can name it. It has been a while since I did this, but I think there is a way under the "Options" button when you have the profiles listed on the screen.

Garage List
2021 BMW S1000XR  [0.00]
2018 YMB F80  [0.00]
Last night just before parking in garage, got out of the car while still running to move the big box fedex guy left blocking the way and noticed the right side fog light was on. Silly me of course I thought there was something wrong or perhaps left side fog got shut out by the fruits falling from the trees because of the season lately Anyway after playing around I realized if the steering wheel is not centered and turned to either side then the fog light on that side turns on I had no idea about this before.

I can't recall if this has been mentioned but since there are two memory seats per key fob this is what I do.

Memory 1 will have all my seat and mirror settings. For Memory 2, I lower the mirrors so that they see the ground. I use this when I park, to make sure I have enough space in between the lines, and when I need to parallel on the left, when it is a one way street. Since the driver mirror doesn't go down, this allows me to see the curb on that side.

I noticed when ASS shuts off the engine you can turn the steering wheel left/right and the engine will start up.

Can you link me the product. I'm trying to figure out how to listen to music and use the nav on my iPhone at the same time in my car. I don't have the nav or enhanced Bluetooth.

After 6 months of owning the car I learned there is a touch sensor to open the trunk. I previously had only used the key fob or interior trunk release.

I saw a tweet today from BMW_ParkLane that said

Quote:
If you leave your BMW still for a few weeks, the wipers will recycle (automatically) ensuring the wipers don’t stick
That's pretty clever.

Did they preface this feature by saying if you leave your bmw still for one week, the battery will die?

I'm assuming it will die due to the constant windscreen wiper wiggling.

Here you go:
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/aluratek...&skuId=6581843

There was another adapter mentioned here that you don't have to switch on every time but the name escapes me - you may want to check that out too. Also, the google maps ap lady fools iDrive into thinking she's on the phone when she's giving directions so it streams over the BT like a call - wonder if anyone else has tried aping that ap for general audio/video streaming

Hmmm.. well if that's true, that google maps uses bluetooth, I may not need this adapter. I wanna be able change tracks on my iphone 5 using the steering column while the iphone nav app gives me directions. This sounds like it can be accomplished without having to do anything. November can't come any sooner. Hurry up car!

Ahoy me hearties!

I found out today that as well as the other video formats compatible with Pro Media I can also play .mkv With a DTS soundtrack no less. Unexpected as most home media players struggle with .mkv

I just learned that google maps on the iPhone streams navigation voice directions to the speakers via Bluetooth whereas Apple maps doesn't. Useful to know, for people who don't have the built-in nav.

Iīve got Navigon on my Note 3, toyed with the program and in the settings I found options for streaming the voice directions to BT through either channel 1 or 2. So itīs most likely a function within the navigation app, has nothing to do with enhanced BT.

not sure if it's been mentioned yet, but the automatic volume adjustment based on car speed is pretty sweet.

i also didn't realize the headlights turned w/ the steering wheel when i bought the car. that's pretty sweet too.

I have the Sportline. This white text is a "night and day"-feature. In daylight the text is white, at night it is orange like everything else.
