The seller is marketing the unit as Android 11 but in fact is 9, i've asked him if there is any update maybe, so he told me to install this (s9863a1h10__bmw02_2g-ota-eng.george.zip).

Does anyone have any experience with this version?

You can try it, but that will not update your device to Android 10, 11 or 12. This is still Android 9 but with some minor changes to the Chinese software.

Hello,

i bought an android device with chinese idrive controller for bmw.


The Chinese Idrive controller that came with my device doesn't work properly. The buttons are wrongly mapped (each button does something different than what it should do, menu button triggers nav button for example) and the wheel rotation isn't translated at all.

This controller is directly connected to android unit.

I have firmware for android and mcu here.

It has UNISOC UMS512 CPU installed and android 10.

I can upload android system file and mcu file.

Is there a possibilty to map the keys in android ??
The chinese seller does not reespond.

Any help appreciated .

We are not familiar with this device so unless there is some sort of a menu where you can select different controller layouts/mappings or even CAN protocols, then there is nothing we can do to help.

is there an android app to programm idrive buttons...
this is chinese standart cic controller also used in other android devices..
perhaps i can install an android app to control the idrive buttons

Check CAN bus settings and maybe look for things like knob type.
There are no apps to remap or control these buttons as the communication is done over CAN bus.

this chinese guys sell devices in aplha/beta status and they do not respond..

For anyone running the Android 12 HU's, I made a modified version of RedErik's M startup logo for my X5M (https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...19&postcount=4). I wanted something OEM looking, but without the interior view "welcome" ending that doesn't match my F85 X5M, so I edited in just the M logo instead. 1920x780 resolution only.

I got this unit directly from Aliexpress and using is on a 2013 F21.
My car hat just radio buiness, so no screen at all. It works quite fine.
I would like to add some CAN functionality so I installed an f20 idrive and connected it straigt to the radio connector.
Sofar a could not get it working, so i wonder if it would be possble to install a different CAN BUS configuration.
The is a CAN menu, but there is no further content.

Does anybody has some experiences with the current unit regarding such updates.
How would it be possible to monotir the CAN BUS.

Furhter I would like to get the zlink androide auto connetion link to my mobil as soon the unit starts. Sofar a need to disable BT and enable again. Further the zlink app needs to be started.

Yes that's the screen I needed to see and I don't have good news for you. Our themes will not work with that unit as this is not a KSW developed device and this device is most likely a "fake" i.e. running lower Android version than it claims to.

AliExpress, your local reseller, anywhere really. KSW units these days run Android 11 and 12 on Snapdragon 662/665 chips.

No you cannot. System images are specific to hardware they're meant to run on. Your hardware wasn't developed by KSW guys so their software is incompatible with your device.

Every single apk under the sun has values folder - this is how Android apps are built. Did you decompile the launcher? Seems like you didn't.
