Help
I have a probem, my dealer just called me to say that my 18's don't fit and that I need to get 19'. Can you guys please advise what I can do? Does adding spacers help the break clearance? Should I try and trade my 18's with 19's or should I find other 18's and switch the tires around...

I brought a set of aftermarket 18" wheels and they barely have enough inner space to clear the brakes. |

I don't know exactly why the 162' don't fit, the dealer just called me to say that the brakes rub on the rim. |

18s are fine. I got a square set of BMW OEM M400s for winter, which are the standard M sport wheels for this car. Your old ones don't work because they changed all the specs for the 2012 model and beyond.
Much better looking than the 18 inch Turbine winter wheels they wanted to sell me. Pirelli Tires and oem wheels were about 4k.

Was also thinking anyone that bought this car won't complain about a quality set of winter wheels if they want their car to look great all year round. The car wasn't cheap so why not get some great wheels for winter? Also still cheaper and better winter performance then buying 19s.

Yes. That's what happens when you buy BMW OEM wheels instead of aftermarket. I think the tires were the same price as aftermarket.

Winter Setup
I had OEM 162' which ended up not fitting, so I bought aftermarket wheels. They aren't particularly nice, however I was kind of stuck because of time constraint and also because I wasn't sure which 18's fit. So I bought some that my local shop had already tested on M brakes.
They are Fast slalom wheels. |

Does anyone know whether any dealerships actually still have this car available or are they all pre-ordered only?
Interested in getting one if the numbers are good. |

Finally took delivery of my 335i m performance and the disapointments continue... The after market wheels i ordered for winter are dead ugly (dealer had fucked up with my 162')... in addition when i got to the dealer he wanted to charge me an additional 200$ for installation even if it was his mistake.... As soon as i got home my check engine light came on! Lastly, i can't seem to find the heated steering wheel feature... Can any of you guys who ordered the car tell me if we have that option and how do we activate it?
Thanks guys |

What was the CEL about?? FYI, Simply Tire has some winter stock left (selection is limited) and their price includes balance, install and bags for your summers. Way cheaper than the stealership. LSB |

Thanks for the reply.
I don't know yet about the CEL, I need to bring it in at the dealer next week... The bad luck also continues, I just went to the parking lot to show my car to a collegue and someone had bumped the front of my car. There is no bump, but the paint is scratched. You think the dealer can detail it? Quote:

OMG I would snap if someone hit my car after I have had it only a few weeks.
People are such a-holes. I hope you got the info from the person and they are paying for it. I would make them have the entire bumper repainted. Brand new car so you should be able to get a good match on the paint without the need for blending other body panels. |
