Where is this "sticky" you're talking about? Actually stopped at the dealer on my way home from work and he said the timeline on the web site is often not as up to date as the dealers. He checked and found that my status was 152 if I remember correctly and my car was in paint y'day. Last time with my current 328i the day after it was in paint it was being transported to port so we're on our way. Gave me my VIN and confirmed the Test Drive incentives were extended till the end of November. So all appears to be good in my BMW world.

I love how I know where my car is in the delivery process versus the dealer. Dealer emailed me and said on Friday I would have it in 7-10 days. What he doesn't know is I've been tracking it ever since it got on the boat.

Boat is hitting NY port 10/9. then probably a couple of days in transit to dealer and finishing touches.

What badge is on the side of the car above the vents? I know you have the M Sport package are they putting an M Badge on the car? Don't think that's coming to the US.

Yea, they put the M badge on most non-US cars. Our cars will not have the badge.

Congratulations! She looks beautiful. I thought mine went into production 3 weeks ago, but there was a miscommunication re the production number. Instead, it went into production yesterday. Looks like I will have to wait until early December before I get it.

I think the center whats you see is the A/C condenser. On the left and right side im guessing trans cooler and maybe oil cooler? Have to look into it more.

I ordered the 435i middle of August and it should be arriving around the 15 of this month. I kitted it with:

M Sport package
Black sapphire on beige
19" wheels
HK sound

Looking it over now, its pretty basic. I'm curious if anyone knows whether I can add the
M sport brakes post delivery or a rear diffuser. Would the service shop be able to add extra features once it's delivered? I've read others are doing port delivery type installations.

Also, anyone know whether the the JB N55 chip will transfer over to the 435?

It's too late to get the M Sport brakes for $650, since this is only a factory option. However, you could get the M Performance brakes (which come in Red and Gold, too). These are actually better than the M Sport Brake option, but they are also pricier at around $2k. You can find more info about them around on these forums.

I think it's probably too late for you to do VPC (port) install for accessories if you are planning to take delivery on the 15th. However, you could contact your client advisor just to be sure. Otherwise, you could purchase the performance accessories (like the brakes and rear diffuser) and have them installed at a dealer (or anywhere, really) after you take delivery.

I should have went w the brushed aluminum...o well I guess I can always wrap it.

anyone know how long cars have been sitting at USA ports before being shipped to dealers?

My current 3 Series hit the Prep Center on the 22nd of the month and was at the dealer on the 28th. It's the sitting at the European Port waiting for a ship to the US that can take a while. Current car sat at Port 20 days before getting on a ship.
