I have a question about how the CA will work for this retrofit.

Can the driver's door vs all doors unlock setting still be set such that using CA on the driver's door only unlocks just the driver's door, and using CA on any other door unlocks all doors?

I emailed Bimmertech support (super fast response times btw), and found out the capabilities of this retrofit

You can set retrofit to unlock only driver's door on first touch, and then all doors on second touch, from any door.

i dont have CA at all so enabling just the driver door will be awesome.

Here's the capabilities:
-You can configure the vehicle such that using CA on the driver's door only unlocks the driver's door (same as w/o the retrofit).

I'd like an option where I can choose to unlock just the driver's door, or all doors without having to get the FOB out of my pocket, walking around to the other side of the car to use CA, or making my passengers wait till I get in and hit the center unlock button.

You can set our CA to unlock just the driver's door first when you touch any door handle and if you touch the door handle again all doors will unlock or all doors will unlock if you touch any door handle for the first time.

Thanks for the clarification Patrys! The "second touch unlock all" function was missing from the original reply I received. Can I assume what you said works the same if I already have CA on the front doors and only order your retrofit for just the rear doors?

What is the time delay needed between the first touch to just unlock one door and the second touch to unlock all, or is it something that can be coded/configured?

It will work the same way on your rear doors even if you already have CA on your front doors.

There is no delay generated by our system. As soon as you touch the handle again our CA module will trigger the car to unlock doors.

Perfect! So I can set it up so that I can unlock all doors from touching the door handle from the front drivers side the first time (not the double touch). Will I be able to toggle with these setting in idrive by any chance? Or will I have another way to choose between one touch vs double touch

There are dip switches in our CA module.
They will change the way our CA system works but they will not affect your factory CA.
