Managed to solve my issue, updating in case anyone else runs into this.

I was basically following instructions for a different program. I encoded my original .fsc into base64 using an online app, then saved it as one line in a new .fsc file. This is the wrong thing to do.

Just use the stock .fsc file you get from ESYS and run it through the program, it takes care of the base64 for you (even on a 64-bit Windows 7).

Finally got my 2017 maps now

I've read through some of the pages here, and I was able to successfully update my 2014 NBT maps, but I am now trying to do the same for our 2013 F30 which has the CIC navigation.

Am I able to use the same method to extract the FSC code from ESYS, or do I need to have the SWID_Reader & EDIABAS software for that?

Same method, but pull 1B instead of DE.

Hy Guys,

I am new here and I have some question regarding to connection.
I followed Kretzu tutorial step by step but for some reason I can not connect to my car. ZGW_SEARCH shows me blank white page with no error message. Refresh button do nothing in this case.

I am using Win 7 Home Premium x64 with turned off Wifi, Kaspersky, Windows firewall, disabled wifi and other unused network adapter. Ediabas Installed, ECU content copied, ENET 6801/6811 config set, NET. framework 4 + java. Ignition on and my PC is connected.

What am I doing wrong?

Any input is appreciated!

I'm having an issue on a Canadian 2012 CIC E92. I pulled the 1B file, trimmed the a.hex as per usual but when generating through the FSC generator for 0x2D and 0xFF, the FSC code doesn't work. 2D is for North America Premium maps, right?

I have spent my whole day reading forums and trying to fix this issue but I could not. I connected straight to a router just to check the MAC address and the IP but even a Linux Mikrotik and D-link router can not see anything. Maybe I got faulty cable? Can you please give me some advice what can be the problem?

Which software are you using?
BMW Standard tools is not required.
TCP/IPV4 should also not be configured.

I am usuning only Ediabas. I left the TCP/IPV4 protocol on automatic setting. I set the ediabas.ini like this:

I guess I am confused because Kretzu shares multiple packages, but this thread is titled FSC Code Generator.

You would be using tool like E-sys to pull DE file. Then, command prompt or Generator Wrapper to create FSC for designated map.

Neither of these programs require EDIABAS.

Engine should be on for proper connection and power to all relevant ECU's.

Are you able to connect to vehicle with E-sys?
