That's what I am looking forward to. Bring on the 2!

I like the front and side views--very nice.

Still dont like the vent on the side, or the back end too much. The diffuser area looks very busy.

Cupholders are poorly placed too for anything bigger than a can of coke...

I get your point, but I also remember the BMW 6 Gran Coupé Concept. Those bumpers, wheels, kidneys, side mirrors and door handles didn't make it to production.

E92/93 didn't have halogens, logically this won't either...

So, the car has woven wicker cupholders? That's worse than no cupholders..... And let me see if I understand this. It is no longer a 3 series, it no longer has a 3.5 liter or even 3.0 litre engine....does it have X-Drive? Yes? And it is bigger, right? So it will be the 435i X-Drive wih a 2. something litre engine in it.... seems like it might be a pig...
I now have an E60 535 and an E90 335 (my 11th and 12th BMWs). I think I'll wait and let somebody else work the bugs out of this thing and then buy one in three years for half what it costs new.

Is 2.995 liters not enough for you?

Well, yes it is. My mistake. I was thinking that 3.0 liter engine had shrunk more than that. It will probably be faster than my 535i since it should be lighter, but we'll have to see the specs to see if it is faster than my 335i. ...still...I'm happy to wait since my two 3 yr old BMW's combined cost me less to purchase than this one will new. To each his own.

Or just wait a few years and get an LCI since they will have worked out all the bugs by then. I'm glad I'm waiting on an F30 after reading all these reports of rusting metal and steering issues. Hopefully they'll have those worked out in the coming years. Unfortunately a coupe is too impractical that my wife won't buy off on it, but a gran coupe could work!

Agree. Except this wil never see production because how would this be different from the 3-series? Good luck explaining the difference to showroom buyers, hehe. "But ... but ... this one has "Gran" in the name! You know, like Grand cru with fine wine! And that's what this is - wine!"

Narrow minded are you...

There is not need explaining anything. Just saying:
- "GranCoupé looks better than Sedan, not true? Well, you have to pay more for this beauty. Are you willing to give me this money?
- "Sure. Shut up and take my money!"

Actually, it is closer than you think.
The 6er Gran Coupe is an elongated 6er Coupe just as the 4er and 2er Gran Coupe will be. And remember that render is still a 4er Coupe which we have now seen.

Seriously though, that has to be one of the best renderings I have ever seen.

Scott, any word if BMW will keep the 4er concept LED angel eye headlight design for production? I love it!
The interior is not that great. I like the Alcantara liner (but in black would be better). The wood trim is ok but the woven laces don't appeal to me one bit. I hope that's not standard in the 4er or M4
