BMW production delays......
Who had an order number and still waiting for the production? Please post here.
I believe dealer say the car will be ready for pick up in 6-8 weeks when you are putting deposit. Since some delays are talking about 6 months or more.... Please shear your feeling and tell us what you know about the recent BMW delays. What they will do if the car delays? rebate, discount? nothing? What they will treat the current leasing? What they will do for trade in car value? |

435GC ordered August 23rd. I ordered the Leather Dash and knew that would delay the build however, I still don't have a build date and I am going on 9 weeks since the order.

I heard the 442M Orbit Gray wheels are on back order? I had them put on my GC (they really do look stunning in person) and hopefully I get mine next week after waiting for 3 months

My 435i was ordered on 10/13 and finished on 10/22. Ordered with 400m wheels and standard brakes.
Did you order your car with M-Sport brakes? I heard of backorders for the M Sport brakes and 442m wheels. As far as lease deals go, you will get whatever incentives are available at the delivery date. If you have a Ultimate Driving Event credit voucher, it expires 60 days after the event - no exceptions. Your dealer might give you a discount if the car is delayed but I doubt you will get anything direct from BMW. |

My 435GC just went into production and I ordered on 9/13. CA said there was a shortage of M-Sport package and brakes. Seems in line with what I've been reading on the forums. At least it seems the shortage is improving?

I would agree. Upon placing the order, incentives, residuals, etc are locked in. At delivery, there may be a better incentive but if the residual changed, then you're taking that also.

I don't think there is a shortage on M-Sport package. I ordered mine 9/28 and it went into production about a week later on 10/7

Like I said it took 6 weeks just to get into production. What did you order? M Sport Brakes are limited and causing delays. Leather dash delayed until Jaunary. Also depended on your dealer's allocation.

Why doesn't BMW just publish this information so dealers and custom order buyers can all have the same info. Production delays far various reasons happen all the time. Just would be nice to have a source for this.

Allocations
Perhaps someone in the dealer circle can weigh in to confirm.
A lot has to do with allocations for specific base cars. I wanted a 428 vert. Could not find one the way I wanted it. Really needed it by Dec so we knew we needed an Oct build. Was only 1 remaining at the beginning of Oct and he was able to get it from this dealer that had it. So being built now. To be completed Nov 6 (week 41) and PCD on Jan 9. |

I ordered 435 GC with M brake and leather dashboard on on 8/6. My ED date was 10/8 and had no issues. I just came back from ED and vehicle was built exactly the way I wanted.

I placed an order for a 435 Vert, M Sport, on April 1st, order acknowledged April 4th. Production began June 18 (79 days) finished June 27. I was given four lame excuses for the delay: 1) there was a problem with the convertible top; 2) there was a problem with emission control; 3) there was a problem with the wheel supplier; 4) there was a problem with the tire supplier. The car arrived at Bremerhaven July 3rd, departed July5th, arrived Port Hueneme July 30th, strapped on my butt in Oregon Aug 7th
