Depends on where your car is coming from. Chances are its at the port of exit. Where it will sit for what feels like forever. The BMW line and website has been around 6 days behind.

I have the exact same status near the end. It's been "transferring to port of exit" for last 2-3 days with no change in status.

You guys are in the dark as far as tracking goes. Most wait around 10 days or more waiting at port of exit. You'll get little to no changes in states until it's a day or two on the water. Mine took 12 days to get on a boat, and the status didn't change until 6 days after that.

So my CA confirmed my car is on the Sunlight Ace and is due to dock in NJ on May 4th. However, the MOL site shows that the Sunlight Ace will be in Halifax on April 24th and then goes on to Brunswick, docking there on April 28th. It does not show it docking in NJ at all, let alone on May 4th, which would not make any sense. Further, the site shows the Sunlight Ace in the Panama Canal on May 3rd.

What gives? Can the MOL site be that off? It has been right on so far in terms of which port the ship is in on the date it lists on the site...

Halifax may just be referring to the port, VCP, or Customs entry point in NJ. There are a bunch of points all through NY/NJ. BMW typically come in at Bayonne, Halifax is just north up the river. I don't think it's referring to the Halifax Port in California. Although it could be Canada and NY/NJ is just a quick transfer. According to marine traffic my ship made a couple quick stops, I assumed for supplies or fuel, but I guess it's possible they did smaller transfers not worth listing on the MOL site.

Still it's odd that it would be there so early. It's possible it's an overflow area, and won't be moved through until May 4th. It's also possible they moved the shipping schedule up due to demand, meaning you could get your car early (just don't get your hopes up).

Finally today there was an update, my car is in Bremerhaven since 4/4/15 awaiting a shipping vessel to Brunswick, GA. Hopefully they get on the one that leaves the 8th.

I just found out my car is Priority 2 ("center own use") and not priority 1. My car is sitting at the port awaiting to be shipped.

Will this lower priority affect rest of the timeline at all compared to if it was priority 1?

I've done some searches and all I can find are mentions that Pri2 cars can take longer to be built but nothing mentioning slower shipping or transit times to dealer.

Just found out i am in status 150. called the bmw genius up(seems like they have access to the VIR)

they told me i started production on the 31st of march(tho i placed my order that day). but it is in status 150

Your CA can tell you. Their internal order system has much more detail than you get through bmwusa.com or the phone system.

i called the bmw genius hotline. looks like the have the same VIR access that the dealer has. bmw genius can even tell you what boat its on.

So the guy driving my car across the Atlantic is apparently drunk....

Just kidding, this happens fairly often when a ship is ahead of schedule. Some ships do donuts, some ship throttle down and let the tide carry them. It's frustrating, but it happens.

Same here no vessel info yet. I ordered from Vista in Pompano. Your car is probably with mine. Headed to Brunswick, GA. I must have called the number 12 times yesterday.
