I use this one for my F30 BSW stage 1 and BSW ghost subs. I like it the way it is. To use the file just remove the .pdf extension.

Sorry can't speak of the F80. I guess you can give it a try and make adjustments in the DSP app.

Has anyone run into an issue with this amp where you modify some of the settings and the sound turns off when played at full volume during highway driving or something (all speakers go silent)? I modified the BimmerTech file provided by Nelson for the F30 and it cuts off. The only real change that I made was setting the gain/output level on the 2 rear speakers to 0 instead of -2. Curious to know if other people have run into the same problem when tuning the amp for their liking.

Edit to included some additional details.
Upgraded from regular HiFi to BimmerTech Amp
Dip settings for 2 and 4 are set to on.

Sorry guys I know this is a F30 forum but I need help to tune PP82DSP to install in my X6 with OEM speakers and HiFi (676) option.

I'm hoping that someone managed to tune the amp in an F16 to give me a starting point rather than starting from scratch.

It would've been nice if the DSP had an auto tune feature

I also need a harness, contacted Technic and Binner-tech but nothing yet

Well it does have one via the autiotec fischer software, you need to purchase an additional measure microphone to do that, like this one which worked very well for me https://www.minidsp.com/products/aco...urement/umik-1

i have this same problem and i use just use the bimmertech tune. does any1 have a fix for this. my car is set at 0 and 0 and dip settings for 2 and 4 are also on.

Dip switches are of no use here;
I had the same issue, and it's gone since I restarted my configuration from scratch, instead of bimmertech files.

I think it is related to the signal input detection switches, they are supposed to switch if a signal is above a given threshold => try to disable auto switching altogether and see if that works.
DCM Menu => Signal Management tab => AUX source selection set to manual and see if that resolves.

I am running the BavStage1 tune provided by Nelson. At about 75% volume I experience the same thing that other's are experiencing.

After resetting can I load a bimmertech tune?

Same issue with sound cutting out because of rear speakers. Have Helix Blues in the back. My inputs are set to manual. I had to cut the gain down to prevent it from happening. Was going to reach out to Audio Fischer to see what they suggest.

Good idea. Let me know if you get a response from Audio Fischer regarding this issue. It's annoying that I have to tune down my gain just to get the audio not to cut out.

Are you guys using stock tunes? If not what kind of modifications are you doing to the tunes?

Hi Nelson,

My changes to your original F30 tune are attached to a post I previously made in this thread (#95). The intent of my changes were made to make the car's audio experience similar for each passenger (not driver oriented) and also provide more bass to the front and rear door speakers (the door spears are pretty capable of providing decent bass from my test tunes).

1. I modified the slope to -12 for the center, front, and rear speakers. When I tuned my alpine system (800w amp) in my Mustang we used -6 db/oct and -12 as 24 dB/octave lead to us hearing where the sound responses started to fall/cut off.

2. Slope on the sub woofers were also changed to -12db/oct. Similar reason as above.

3. I changed the gain on the front and rear to 1db as the rear was sent to -2db and the fronts were set to 1db. This way the same amount of gain is going to the door speakers.

I tried to tune my custom build from scratch using a flat tune (similar to arminvb's tune), but I had to reduce the gain on all channels significantly before I got to point where it would stop cutting off. Even in arminvb's tune the gain was tuned down to -5db on the center, front, and rear speakers which is kind of what I ended up doing. In the end I was better off just using your custom F30 tune with a few modification to the center, front, and rear.

I'm still really happy with the purchase and would recommend this amp to anyone with the F30 tune, I'm just trying to get the loudest sound with the least amount of distortion. I know that this amp is very capable so I'm just going to keep messing with the tunes.

Once I get this polished up I'll buy myself the BimmertTech reverse camera.
