Hello all! Looking to add alarm to my girls 428i (f33). Doesnt seem like it has dead-lock doors. What are the part numbers for locks? I cant seem to find them. Thanks!

Hello all, I managed to install my alarm also on my F30 2012. But I have two little things that I want to ask you all about :
1. is there any coding solution to make inside sensors more sensitive ?
2. I have remote options on my car, and when I use Unlock and Lock function from BMW Connected, Lock function doesn't arm again the alarm. Is there also any solution for this?

In Esys Launcher I so some thing to code alarm like : US, ECE, etc. Does anyone know what is the difference between these settings?

Thank you.

2. I talked to BMW Connected app support, they are aware of the problem and it should be fixed in the following updates.

anyone successfully get the siren to honk when you lock the door, or when alarm activates. Just got a replacement horn, and it was a no go following the DIY.

Did you activate alarm settings in navigation? You have to have an menu with option to activate siren when lock/unlock the car.

Mine would beep even without the coding. I had to code for the actual sensors to work but even before I added the cafds it would chirp. That's my experience tho, did u initialize the new roof module? Make sure u got power coming from fuse box? U inserted the new wires in the correct place?

My question is does anyone kno what to code to b able to use the trunk botton as a panic button?

Did you coded something special for sensors? Do you know how to increase the sensors sensibility?

This may be a dumb question but when I attached the alarm to bracket I have the siren facing up, should it b facing down bc it doesn't seem all that loud. Soundering if flipping it upside down would help out.

Help anyone. I recently add new roof module with sensor for alarm and trying to add 2 CAFD file on the FZD to get my alarm working but unable to add CAFD. I highlighted the FZD but unable to click Detect CAF for SWE because it is grayed out. Also trying to reinitialized Sunroof using Rheingold/ISTA but after clicking Service Functions I do not see Body -> Locks -> Sunroof Initialize to get the sunroof reinitialize. Im using latest Launcher PRO 3.0.4 Build 90 and Psdzdata 3.63 full. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

Use a different version of esys to detect cafd thats a known problem. For initializing the sunroof try the other way explained earlier in the post. No ista needed.

For those having trouble and for those getting here from Google searches, I just wanted to post and detail my experience with the retrofit.

I bought a 61316826924 roof console and a 65759383320 siren from eBay, along with the rest of the parts new from an online dealership. It all came to about $200 with shipping. The whole installation went pretty smooth. I struggled a bit getting pins into connectors before realizing that they all had little locks that I had to undo beforehand (this is my first time wiring anything car related). I also ended up using a fuse tap instead of the double leaf spring contact on the fuse box. The coding went well too, no real troubles there. I've done tons of FDL coding but have never VO coded before so I had to look that part up. I ended up VO coding all the ECUs just to make sure. Also, I did have to activate the FA before being able to click "detect CAF for SWE" (it was greyed out before). I use E-Sys 3.27.1 for reference.

But this is where I had the most trouble. After I was all done, I powered down the car for a bit and then went to lock it. No beep, but the light was blinking red. I opened the window, locked the car, and pulled the handle from inside to test if the alarm worked. And the siren didn't sound, but the horn starting going off super loud and the lights were flashing. Waving my hand around inside the car also set it off from the motion sensors so I knew that the roof console was good. I've read that previous BMW models have an emergency alarm (the horn) that activates when the roof console can't signal the siren, so I thought that either the siren was bad or I had a bad wire somewhere. What ended up being the problem was that the ground wasn't making contact. After I took off the OEM wire tap (was grounded to a medium brown wire just as the guide shows) and grounded the connection to a screw, everything functioned like the OEM alarm should, beeps when locking/unlocking and all. Also, when I pull the fuse or the ground off when the car is locked, it also triggers the alarm. So anyone who's having their alarm go off randomly, there might be a connection problem there!

I hope this info helps out anyone who's doing this retrofit and thank you very much to roxxor for this great guide!

Do the CAFD files have to be coded to the FZD prior to the Sunroof initialization?
Both the manual initialization (presing and holding Lift) and ISTA options are not working for me....just want to double check if I have to do the coding to the FZD first before ISTA sunroof initialization will work.
