Does anyone know how to code out front fog lights completely on F3x? I will do fog light delete on F36 next week, so it would be nice to also code them off.

Tried searching but nothing relevant came up.

I noticed that my low beam is way too dark on highways, I have adaptive xenon's and i suspect it's aiming too low. would VLD help me in this situation even if I don't have cameras?

The adaptive lights tend to aim even lower, especially on the drivers side, to minimize glaring drivers going the opposite direction. VLD will not change brightness; it may improve visibility.

New codes for what?

Hello,
Just my 2 scents here, after receiving my wire yesterday, i coded almost everything I could in my F20 LCI 2016, and I have to say the sheet is not up to date, I got sweats when I found out few things :

- No combox CMB_MEDIA
- No combox named HU_ENTRY , HU_NBT or whatever
- No combox KOMBI

For those who might not know like me and start doing FA / VO codes at first for 2AT and 6NS etc... Better read your SVT first, else you will think you corrupted your car files lol

So in new version i guess they renamed them as they regrouped quite a few combox into one.

In my experience from yesterday:

CMB_MEDIA+HU_ENTRY+HU_NBT are are all in the new combox named : HU_ENTRYNAV

KOMBI is named BKOMBI

I coded those after FA edition, and it worked (I had no choices but to guess, without internet in the car)

So most of the codes remain the same, just in different combox...

Also one question for anyone who can help a non fluent in english... What does this mean exactly???

So a while ago, I decided to make my own cheat sheet. I have kept it to myself for a while but then I shared it with a few people on the BMW forums and got really good feedback and suggestions to share it with everyone.

This is basically a compilation of all the codes I could find on forums, external sites, PMs, and other cheat sheet. I wanted to make it because I was sick of how tiny the writing was on spreadsheets and how lose and all over the place codes were. So I made it how I thought it would look the best! (In my opinion of course.) I revised it to make it coherent with everyone. So download it below

If people here end up liking it, I can continue updating it and posting it to the forums with a change log. I want to continue to add codes or missing information, so feel free to notify me if I'm missing anything.

Anyways, check it out and lemme know what you guys think!

I tested some things, most work indeed, so thx for the good work

However, I can assure you that this line doesn't work on an F30 LCI:
KOMBI 3000 BC_AUTORESET_ZEIT User Choice 4h (werte = 04) Trip Computer auto-reset time. Value in HEX for hours (00 = 0 hours, FF = Never)

There is only a 4h option in my cafd.
So if you edit the value to FF or 00.. it will fdl code to the car, but you got a nice popup saying that there is a problem with the KOMBI and that you need to go to the nearest garage.. so this really is not compatible.
Quite a stressful moment..
I've put it back to 4h and deleted all dtc errors.. and all is good again.

Apologies if this has already been raised, I've had a day coding yesterday and whilst I understand some of the codes are hit and miss as to whether they appear in the modules, I can not find the coding for one touch (from fob and footwell) closing of an F31 boot lid.
Also, when I tried changing the volume and "track" of the engine noise in ASD, nothing seemed to change.
I have a September 2016 build LCI F31 335D.
Any ideas?

I think I did, but not fully sure anymore.

It behaved differently as with the other Kombi settings (Digital speed works, Motor temp enable shows a new entry, but always remains on low) and had to clear errors there as well. And reset Date+Time. Only after that no more warnings.

GPS_UHR doesn't really seem to do anything, you still need to reset Date+time to remove warning. Maybe it does something in the background. But is with Nav 606 (don't have Prof)

Various modules will always result in quirks:

• HU coding will always reset some settings and erase memory buttons. You can save profile to flash drive and import after coding.
• KOMBI will always reset trip data and require you to either toggle auto-update or manually set clock. GPS_UHR only works with CAFD_000000F9 and GPS-equipped vehicle. For HU_NBT(2) has alternative options to either sync with ConnectedDrive profile or GPS.
• ACSM, ICM, & DSC will often result in HU or kombi errors that go away on own, power cycling vehicle, with some driving, or manually clearing

You can clear errors with last line of External transmitter. Alternatively you can clear with Tool32 or ISTA+.

Yes, I usually clear all DTCS with the transmitters, pretty fast & easy. Only Ista if I want to read the messages.
Saving the profile is an interesting hint when playing with HU! thx

I have F30 LCI + Entrynav. Not sure if there is a combox, there is a black box where the combox is suppose to be, but doesn't have cooling fins.
Maybe just some telematics box..

Enhanced bluetooth: 6NS Seems to work, at least partially.
Bluetooth streaming works (but annoying since phone automatically uses that output even when not streaming)
Office.. it shows, but doesn't work with my phone. No messages can be read.
(At first office did not show.. until I hooked up the iphone with cable to USB.. )
->But .. looking at BMW Bluetooth compatibility it seems like iphone's are not compatible with any off the office functions..
So this one might work with other phones..
-> I think I need to put HU Microphone_number back to wert01 though (goes to wert02 with 6NS) since I get a microphone error (something with open circuit) which makes sence since there is 2nd microphone.
->Voice commands button is activated but is not working, probably due to missing fsc.

Playing video doesn't work, the menu options are there, but it never finds any video files on the USB.
->probably not compatible w/ entrynav..

Route simulator doesn't seem to work on entrynav neither. It shows up, but you cannot pick any simulation speed (remains at 0, so it never plays)

RDC_Safety works.. Had tyre pressure by default, not it shows temperature as well.
Navi_import/export .. currently nothing working.. but might need to activate Navi_route_record in order to see route import/export options.
I Didn't see any menu to import/export poi's though.

I think that's about all of what I can test on HU.

This definitely works to enable the boot button above the OBD port to close the boot as well as open it on an F31 with iDrive5. I have coded mine and it works.

This is in the HKFM2 CAFD module

3008 USER_LOG_HKL_ROCKERSWITCHPOS1, 06
-> HKL_ROCKERSWITCHPOS1_BUTTON_TYPE

Right click on Werte=02 (second entry under "Ausgelesen")
Choose edit and in the entry box at the bottom of the screen change "02" to "05"

Also to enable the key fob button to open & close the boot on an F31 with 1 press rather than keeping the button depressed to close the boot you need to code this

300B ...REMOTECONTROLLIFTGATEBUTTON...section...
I went to ...REMOTECONTROLLIFTGATEBUTTON_LONGPRESS_CLOSE..

I changed the Werte value from '01' to '00'

This is logical as the ...._LONGPRESS_OPEN Werte value = '00' as the boot opens with 1 press of the key fob button.

Both tested & work perfectly
