Question, I current drive a 11/2017 F31
with as Factory: 606 and 6NH
I‘ve changed 6NH to 6NS all works fine, but I can‘t see dialer pictures.
Using iPhone with. current IOS.
Is 6NW the better Option?

I have no idea if 6NW is valid for 606. If you have ENTRYNAV, then I would say it is likely not. If you have ENTRYNAV2 (aka EntryEVO), then I would say it is likley so.

Ok, so you have new ENTRYNAV2. As I said, 6NW likely works for it. Try it.

I have been flicking through the pages on this thread today but not seen the answer to my question...

I am hoping to e picking up my new F31 335D this week before new years eve.

Dealers found a car with most of the bits I wanted but without Apple Carplay and I now believe that it can only be retro installed if the EBT is fitted.

The car should have the latest Pro Nav as part f the Media Package Pro Plus) with ID6. Should I be able to code ID6 and then install Apple CP afterwards?

Not that simple. You need a 143 FSC Enabling Code, plus coding. PM sent.

Thanks for your PM, when I saw this thread thought it would be a simple free fix. Will give it some more thought once the car is with me and I have had chance to play with everything else.

Sorry, not possible to code CarPlay for Free. BMW AG make sure of this.

Sorry, wasn't expecting to code CarPlay for free, wanted to code EBT and then hoped to be able to pay for the CarPlay which I think can be done by contacting BMW?

You can code EBT for Free. CarPlay will not appear in Portal for purchase for your car if it does not have all factory required options.

Thank you, makes sense I guess...

Probably worth coding the EBT anyway to get the benefits of that and then look at the CarPlay option later once I am used to the Media Pro and ID6.

Look in ENTRYNAV2 for something like "CONTACT_BOOK_PICTURES" and FDL Code it to aktiv.

PIM_BILDER_EIN_AUS are "aktiv"

If I call a Number without picture I see a empty picture for no contact picture.

Hi all. This is my first post, I hope some one will be able to answer my question. I have recently had my 05 2014 F10 coded to give me EBT and all seems ok so far. I now have 2 phones available, streaming and office functions. Well I can get emails to show but not SMS.
My main concern is that the connected drive in the main menu has now changed to BMW services, I had the 6NH changed to 6NS. Is this an issue I should be concerned about, I did look through this thread and found some talk that makes me think that it should have been changed to 6NL.
The car has the Bus Nav and com box in the boot on the C pillar.
I have checked the functions in the connected drive app and doors unlock and lights flash ECT.
Any advice would be most welcomed.

If 6NS works, then don't worry about it.
