Cheaper and about the same result. Not sure what boost AFE is claiming on their site but the 'gains' are about the same. BMS seems a bit more realistic showing more gains as the boost goes up. AFE's site claims around 8whp peak on what I assume stock levels on their $400 unit and 11whp peak on their $500 unit. BMS is showing 11whp on Map 7, and around 5whp on Map 1 or Stage 1.

If that's really the case then one would assume the AFE units would be pulling even more under higher boost, but it's all speculation as I haven't seen any firm evidence.

AFE looks to have two products, one very similar to BMS (even looks the same) for just shy of $400 and another one that's more enclosed simlar to the stock unit for a bit over $500.

AND I trust bms more to give realistic gains. I know a lot of other companies will just dyno like crazy to get that one magical run so they can market the highest possible gains... I'm not saying afe does that but I know some companies do...

355whp/449wtq

Haven't seen a dyno with the intake but probably another 7whp (ish) more.

I would say ~345 whp @ 14.5 psi.

With an intercooler /w 93 octane + octane booster set to 15-15.5 psi maybe 360?

Here's the dynos of the F30 tune with most maps from when they released the tune almost a year ago (93 octane with DP, Map 7 has E85 too):

I put down 321whp with just jb4, downpipe on map 1 with disconnected boost selonoid .. Boost readings was at 10.9psi .. Max So at 14.5 I assume one would put down around 350-355whp ones I ran map 2 and installed the tune right difference was very very noticeable .. Haven't dynoed yet tho ..

When is this intake going to come out? I want it!! HAHA

Also, I just ordered the flex-fuel wires finally. But they are back ordered ;(

Hopefully they will be in soon

So what is my mixture of E85 to fuel mix I should do?

I think the latest recommendation is 40% on map7... I'm probably going to order the flex fuel wires with the intake as soon as its available. It's gotta be any day now...

AFE Magnum FORCE Intake System

Hey guys, I'm new to all this stuff. This is my first Beamer and I'm just having fun. I bought the new AFE Magnum FORCE Intake System and installed it today. I'm absolutely loving it! It makes the car so much more responsive, and it makes it sound like an absolute BEAST! I don't know about horsepower gains, but you can definitely feel it. The car just wants to go. It makes the turbo's sound incredible while it makes the exhaust make this beautiful gurgle. The car has just insane amounts of torque now. I have the M exhaust on my 335 and I took out the resonator. I just purchased the JB4, Charge Pipe and Down Pipe. That should be arriving any day. I can't really speak on much, but I can say that this intake is well made, easy to install and gives you instant thrills. I can't wait to get the rest installed...

Resonator its the second part after downpipe? Very intresting how it will sound without it and catless downpipe, but with stock catback.
