Hi SD_F30,

First of all, thank you for your review and pictures, which was valuable info.

In your pic, it seems that both front and rear are lowered by same amount, which looks very nice. Did you get that height right after they were installed, or it needed some settling time? I installed the same combo on my base 328i and drove 4-500 miles with them, but my front height is more than half inch higher than rear.

Hey it seems like the parts are for non xDrive. Will this not work for the xDrive models?

Another question is, is it okay to just get the rear ones?

Big question is, will it still bottom out or give a harsh bump if you do the rear only?

Thanks!

Why only go with the rear? The stock sport shocks aren't designed for the limited travel of the lowering springs. That being said, I'm coming from a lighter front end on the 328, maybe the 335 feels a little stiffer up front. Looking forward to feeling the new set up! Can't wait for the parts to come in!
Hey SD_F30, thanks for the review. i'm really interested in getting this set up. can you share where you purchased the shocks and how much (without install)? Thanks.

Interesting- in an email chain with blistein they actually recommended b8's with h&r springs when I asked if they had anything available for xdrive, but you are saying tms says January...looks like I need to go back to the drawing board

I saw that poster. Did you end up with all 4 shocks, or just the rears?

Hmmm. How much for the springs? I already have the B8s on stock sport springs, and they actually RAISED the car. It's like a 4x4.

The BILSTEIN B6 Sport is a mono-tube gas pressure shock absorber designed to dampen wide-ranging vibrations very precisely. Where an oil shock absorber produces an oily foam and creates a spongy driving feeling after a very short distance, the BILSTEIN B6 Sport remains constant, precise and stable. The BILSTEIN B8 Sprint is a mono-tube gas pressure shock absorber specifically designed to be used with lowered vehicles with shorter stroke. It also offers the same advantages as the BILSTEIN B6 Sport shock absorber.
B6 sport is good for upto 30mm drop and B8 sprint good for upto 50mm drop.

BMW tuner here in UK [Birds' Garages] use specially valved B6 sprint as basis of their chassis upgrades. Had their B3s chassis package on my e91 335i [bespoke lowered springs and bespoke B6 dampers] and it was superb.

I now have an M135i with H&R sport springs and stock DHP dampers - works a treat ie rides well, corners flat and more stable on uneven surfaces.
