Just my kind of car. Small, extremely fast and exceptionally manoeuvrable.
Brilliant.
What colour scheme have you gone for? Another Superman combo?

The other BMW is my ex-wife's car. She is pretty gutted at the moment and so am I.

Read my signature!

Red on the outside and it's got blue lighting on the inside. Superman's knickers inside out or some such thing.

No I have not. I love my Superman BMW and will always love it.
The Golf is a hatchback. No hatchback is elegant IMO. The BMW an elegant saloon.

Out on a cycle ride tonight saw an R in white, looked ok but not as good as the blue or probably the red. Had the nice 19s on it though.

No one reads signatures for folk they're familiar with!

Hmmm... Tornado Red is a bit of classic GTI colour isn't it?

Yes it is THE GTI colour. But it is a no cost colour. The only other colour I liked is Lapiz Blue but it cost, is as common as muck now and hell to paint match. I have a blue BMW and fancied a change. Also, trying to keep costs down as I am a poor pensioner.

Apparently the Fiesta ST is THE budget performance car!

Or maybe the Polo GTI?... even easier to park!

The car is mental. It just handles beautifully and its acceleration is truly mind blowing. In track mode it felt like a Tornado jet would feel. I had a bit of a shock with the acceleration and I was amazed by the grip and handling.
The engine is sublime and the DSG gearbox quite superb. In comfort mode the ride was totally composed and superbly flat and the handling was still superb. There was a distinct lack of road roar and there was no wind noise.

I did not once feel I was driving a non premium car as it was beautifully put together and the style of the whole car was just what the doctor ordered. I loved the design of the inside and the delightful little touches which made it so special. The seats were supremely comfortable and it was very space efficient. Everything worked to perfection and was so easy to manipulate. Lots of room for such a smallish car. The only downside is the rather smaller boot due the 4WD. But it has a spare space saver tyre. One bad point: the CD slot is in the Glove Box!

So I have made the right choice in downsizing from my beautiful and wonderful F30 which I still think is the most beautiful car I have owned.

For what its worth have a look on www.mk5golfgti.co.uk there is a big section on Golf Rs for £229 per month lease brand new cars .

What a day!
Cancelled my order with Vehicle Savers as I got a brilliant deal from Alan Day VW Fleet sales, London.

Monthly from Vehicle Savers £272.32+VAT
Monthly from Alan Day VW Fleet Sales £254.12+VAT

No brainer.
Every little helps.
Delighted.

It is truly an amazing deal for an amazing car. So much tech is standard. Really good value for money IMO. I am really happy.

It just gets better for you. Great price

I saw an Oryx White 5 door yesterday. Looked good although I would have gone Pure White as it's so bright and I guess pure!
