I have a 2016 F36 420ix with the twin tailpipe.

I'm pretty sure the end of the tailpipe is just a trim and can be replaced by hammering the old ones off.

Is there anywhere i can buy these trims apart from BMW?

Ebay is full of tailpipe trims, take your pick

The genuine ones are punchily priced, but are obviously the best in terms of fitment and lifespan.

If so they were from Germany via Amazon UK; c£40 IIRC

They did chrome ones too; but I preferred the black chrome to suit the style of the car; they haven't discoloured at all either

The OEM BMW trims I bought were completely the wrong size; even though the PN was right! £160 they were

No worries. There was an ulterior motive on my part; I'm looking to replace the black trims on my Shadow Edition which a previous owner obviously took a scouring pad to. I found the L & P ones but wasn't sure how good they'd be given that they're about a quarter of the price of the genuine article.
