The person I replied to stated clearly that the N54 E92 performs better and from testing data, that seems to not be the case.

I spoke with 2 performance shops who specialize in these cars to make the decision and they both felt the power potential of the n54 was so much better. I agree that the motor can have issues as I owned a 535 with that motor and currently have a 2012 x3 with the n55.

N54 vs N55 is exhausted. BOTH engines are underrated, the N54 is just more so. Stock for stock, the N54 feels more raw and also has a slightly better history of gains with tuning. On a stock car and in the F30, the N55 is more efficient and again, it is not slower than an N54 in any known performance metric. /N54 vs N55 crap.

Now you want the metric to be handling and other metrics because the N54 and N55 horsepower has been beat to death? Real world or on paper is the wrong answer. Your opinion is only what matters. End rant

I asked in reply to this statement "Buy a used 335 (with n54). Much better performance" That is not an invitation to dredge up N54 vs N55 dribble. My reply was simply, show better performance shown in the 335 N54 than the F32 435. What you keep posting is not what was being discussed. We drive cars. When asking for a performance metric, I was very clear in what I was asking and clarified further asking for magazine testing of classic automotive benchmarks that measure performance. Can we move on now? An even bigger waste of bandwidth topic for this thread.

I forget which YouTube channel it was on, but the 428XI was tested in real world from 0-60 on paved road. The verdict would surprise you. Times were apprx. 6.4 seconds. I believe he was from Washington DC. Strange these real world 0-60 times. I got to test my 435, but i am still breaking her in. Better be 5.00 seconds or less lol.

And correct me if I'm wrong but if the 435i has an N55 and you are comparing it to the outgoing used e92 335i n54, then comparing the two engines on paper from a source is not off topic to what you asked for. Otherwise if it was, you took it off topic.

Don't tell me what I "think" when you have problems following the thread. Go to the first page, read each reply, show me where I am the one taking it off topic. You just wanted to have your own conversation. So here you go, the N54 335 is the best car. No one should buy a new BMW when the N54 335 has an underrated engine. Done now?

LOL.
A dyno is of an engine/drivetrain. I asked for a metric of which CAR was faster. I can dyno an engine with 600whp in a 6000lb Escalade. You see how that is not what I asked, I asked for a a metric proving his statement of the 335 being FASTER, not which had the more powerful engine. I think you keep missing the point and picking and choosing what to read. Your meme, while cute-just re-affirms my point.

Is it on a dyno, how much power to the feet?
