Winter tires for M breaks?

Hey guys,
I know this question has been asked few times before but I need to order my winter tires/rims in next week or so, and i'm told from the dealership that since i have the M brakes on my 335ix, i can't go less than 18' tires. So they gave me the num 225/45/18. stealership wants $4100 after tax so my 2nd option is to order from tire rack. I priced out Bridgestone Blizzak WS70 Studless Ice & Snow but i need some help. Aren't the tires staggered? if so can i still go with 225/45/18 allround? I have the 2013 335ix M package with m sport if that makes sense.....

I wanted to have the tires ordered before i go pick up my car next week I just really wanna make sure i order the right onces

Thanks!!!!

have you tried calling Tire Rack? They're quite helpful.

Yes, you need 18" wheels if you have those brakes. 225/45/18 all around is preferred for winter use. No need for staggered. Are you swapping tires on or buying a mounted set with wheels?

thank you,

I called tire rack but they weren't sure so thats why i posted a thread here. I'll be buying another set of wheels. i don't wanna take the risk of damaging the 19s.....

When i look it up on tire rack, the front comes to 225/45/18 and rears are 245/40R18...i'll buy all 4 225/45/18 or can i go with 225/45/18 for front and 225/40/18 for rear? or does it even matter?

thanks

I have exactly the same set-up on my "soon to arrive" 335. I made the mistake (following a fair amount of research including speaking with my dealer) of buying a set of 17s from Tirerack. Not happy when I realized I needed 18s. Anyways, so now I am stuck trying to sell the 17s on kijiji and I have ordered (locally, not from Tirerack) a set of 225/45/18s. I am not going staggered for my winters. I have also ordered a set of RTX Berlin Gun Metal rims (M6 knock offs). I am told these 18s will work with my M Brakes. Good luck with yours!

So, you're buying aftermarket 18" wheels + tires?
I'd make sure those 18" wheels fits over those brakes before I buy.
All OEM 18" will fit though. And you can go 225/45/18 all around.

Hi

I have a set of X3 new tires , don't want to sell them just to buy another set.

So the question is

Is there any chance 235/50/18 all around Winter Sport 3D fit on M sport 18 Wheels on xdrive F30 ? Would be a bit stupid to sell 235/50 , just to buy 235/45 ....

Btw I've tried to but ZCP M3 wheels today , the rear 10" wheel is like 1.5cm out of the arch , front fit perfectly.
