Probably minor. 1M was a very limited run, and those cars always hold a special place for collectors, regardless of whether a "better" car was mass-produced later.

The car value most affected by the M2 is the M235i; who is gonna buy a used M235i if a used M2 would only be a few grand more?

Exactly the 1M is enough of a unicorn that its values wont be affected much. I'm assuming that once optioned out there will be a large enough pricing delta between the M235 and the M2 at least during the next few years.

Cant wait to see the testing and reviews and the chance to drive one myself. I just may go for one if I can live with the smaller size.

Not seeing a huge difference on paper between this and the M235i...I guess we'll have to wait until it hits lots to see how different it is.
