BMW Apps

I have just ordered (in June) a 328 GT and I was informed that my selection of "6NR BMW Apps" is no longer available from July production and later. Does anyone know why this is? What impact will it have on functionality?

I have the 6NH, 6WA and 601 (TV) options if that makes any difference.

The NBT Nav (07/13-on) includes 6NR in the USA. I think that in Europe is the same. Check you local configurator...

Thanks, the problem was that you could no longer have the 6NR without Nav (609), so I have amended the order to include 609. All good now I hope.

Yea many of the technology related options (such as BMW APPS), now are built into the technology package and are required as part of this.

It sounds annoying, but actually makes sense. Prior to this, there were about 30 combinations of in-car technology which resulted in varying factions of smartphone, audio, navigation and idrive compatibility to name a few.
