What should I do

Hi

Put an order for 2013 335 on July 21 and still no production number ..

What should I do? Patiently wait or look for another dealer.. ?

Thanks!

contact your CA and ask what the production # , if your order was placed on that day--they should've given you a production # RIGHT AWAY--he/she should also be able to tell you a build week pretty much RIGHT AWAY.... You must be a really patient guy/gal there is no way I would've waited this long with still no prod. #.

You need to be ALL OVER this one!

To give you an idea..I placed my order on 8/2..and my car will be out of production tomorrow (delayed 2+ weeks due to factory closing down)

Definately be all over them. I ordered my car on Aug. 20th and it went into production on the 27th. It sounds like your dealer may not have an allocation available and are giving you the run around to try and keep you from going somewhere else.

Of course I called him several times during this period and he admitted he did not have it yet.. I bought 3 cars from this guy and have very good relationship .. I guess it's just combination of bad luck and lack of allocations for 335

If the salesman gives you no-haggle invoice price when you buy from him every time then I can understand your point. But if not then move on, it's just a car dealer!

Assuming I went to another dealer who would tell me that they have allocation for 335.. How this can be verified? My CA gave me end of October delivery which seemed reasonable given the fact of how hard it to get 335.. He also assured me that all incentives will not expire if I get car later than october ..

if they give you a production # they should be able to give you a week build......just ask the dealer/CA for a VIR--Vehicle Inquiry Report..it shows you all you will need to see to verify.

Any salesman should be able to look up their allocations. It's readily available information to them. Whatever build week they tell you though will usually move up to a sooner date once they update it to priority 1 order (pre-sold customer order as opposed to dealer inventory order). Mine moved up a week from the original date I was told.
