F30 Modifications.

Hey everybody,

I'm relatively new to the forum and picked up a 328i late last year. I love everything about it and have dipped into the diy world (adding a rear lip and a front spoiler). Im going to get some wheels and springs later.

Anyways, besides those two mods, are there anythings anybody feels are "necessary" for the F30 (and relatively easy DIY)?

any reputable stage1 tune, jb4 if you're thinking of adding a down pipe. flash tune if there's a reputable shop in your area. piggy back or flash tunes provide the most "bang for buck" for power mods.

Necessary: non-runflats.

A trunk spoiler always adds a little extra that goes a long way IMHO. Blacked out grills too.

My first purchase is going to be corner and rear reflector deletes. I think they are the ugliest thing I've ever seen on a car, a million times uglier than the 4th gen supra spolier. on par with an entire convertible Murano.

I look at them at least 50 times a day.

They are like a pimple I cant reach on my back and it just sits there festering laughing at me....

IND seems to have the highest quality but are a bit pricey for what they are.

Do you want quality, or a cheap price? Too often these are mutually exclusive. Another post about painted reflectors:

Quality for sure, that's why I suggested ind. It's still very expensive for what it is.

Hey I just picked up a '14 F30 335i. I hear a lot about the jb4 tune but does anyone get flack from BMW after tuning? Any CPO warranty issues?

the beauty of the piggy-back is you can remove it whenever you want. it is traceable if BMW looks for it. i assume there would be cpo warranty issues if you disclose it. you have to go "all in" when you do this. if you think you might be paranoid about it then maybe don't do it. you can put your $$$ into other mods.
