If 0714 is the coding date, I would expect any firmware since F020-14-07-502 to work this way, which is 53.0.

I was successful in moving the clock to the lower right. However, as Aritaurus had mentioned, changing the build date with the CIC has created another issue- which is the nav directions on the extended instrument cluster. The directions are slightly distorted and the arrows for directions are off the screen. Is there a way to adjust for that by FDL coding a parameter? If not, I might have to just revert to my original build date and keep the clock in the center.

can i ask a stupid question? what's the point of all the trouble trying to get the clock slid off to the right under the tach? seems out of place over there all by itself.

at this point, are you all just trying to figure it out as a challenge? lol

I have a '15 Gran Coupe and my clock is in the center!

The coding stuff gets pretty personal for some of us sometimes. I think that anyone who updates themselves to get this to work is pretty silly, because of the risk involved with flashing modules yourself. However, for people like me who had to do 2 minutes of coding, if that, its a nice little change. I think the cluster looks cleaner this way.

im not sure there is a solution for this. the clock on the side was introduced with NBT and probably never tested to see how it would work with CIC. i dont think there are any parameters that will re-adjust anything.

fonts fixed on CIC

Aritaurus was kind enough to lead me to the correct setting under KOMBI. if you change the NBT_Nav_Enable to not active, the directions and display shows up correctly on the 6WA cluster with CIC.

I'd love to flash my KOMBI on my 2012 F30/CIC.. Up to this point, I've only ventured into doing the basic coding.. Is there a guide to flashing that someone can point me to? I've not found one yet. Can I do the flash with the engine running to supply enough power?

Thanks!

No, you cannot run motor. Flash TAL will put car in Transport Mode and kill motor. You need to put car on a commercial grade charger rated for 50 amps minimum, or jump car to another car with running motor.

Thanks Shawn.. I'll have to figure out a way to do that. Might be easier to ask the dealer to update my KOMBI when I go in for my brake fluid change this month. :-)

I figured it was more involved!

Shawn -- Assuming I say, jump my car to my wife's Honda Pilot, is there documentation out there on how to flash the modules? Thanks again!

If I'm understanding this correctly, to get the heated steering wheel message activated/deactived -- you flashed KOMBI and then FEM_Body? Or should I just do both?

I'm getting myself up to speed on what I need to do on Esys, as well as having the full psdzdata v54.. I have the flashing guide from Shawn as well.

Not planning on doing more flashing than required, so I'm going to jumper cable to my wife's Honda Pilot.

All this because I want a notification that I turned my steering wheel heater on!

I didn't even realize the button had an LED in it until earlier today. It's kind of difficult to see, behind the steering wheel!

If i recall, you need to flash both KOMBI and FEM_Body. Im not entirely sure if you can do just 1 of them, but i know if you do both you'll get it

I've flashed KOMBI and FEM_BODY on my F30.. Here is what my i-step levels are now/was:

I-Step Current: F020-14-03-502
I-Step Last: F020-13-11-504
I-Step Shipment: F020-11-11-505

After a successful flash of the two modules, I did have an SOS Emergency Call malfunction as well as the steering wheel heater not enabling. After several restarts and a few minutes, the SOS error cleared on its own and the steering wheel heater decided to start working. Just in case someone else goes to do this and has this issue.

The steering wheel heater activation and deactivation notification is now showing up on my 2/12 build -- so a really early build.

Thanks everybody for the help and hopefully this helps someone with an early F30 build.

Sorry to resurrect a dead post, but my car was reprogrammed at the dealership for DME issues. I don't want to change the VO date and want to keep it as the original VO date.

Is there a sub menu in KOMBI that I can change that would move the clock from the center to the right lower corner?

Found this online: BASISANZEIGE_VARIANTE" to "aktiv, but wonder if this exists in KOMBI with a CIC headunit. Will test it out during the day.

Changing the "Basic Display" to aktiv moved the clock to the lower right.
