F30 LCI Standard Equipment
Trying to determine if my current F30 is a full fledged base model and wondering exactly what options came standard with LCI for MY 2016, USA.

Create an account with bmw: https://www.bmwusa.com/ Add your BMW to your account via VIN. Then click on "features and options" under vehicle profile. That will give you a breakdown of all options and separate them based on standard vs non-standard.

Thanks for the responses. According to BMW... this vehicle is equipped with one package, which includes two options.
Can anyone confirm if DRIVING ASSISTANCE PACKAGE was standard for USA vehicles in Model Year 2016? Last edited by sspade; 07-12-2021 at 06:56 AM.. |

The best way to know what your car comes with is the window sticker, and most of all models come with park assist and rear review camera unless you specifically ordered without it which is impossible in the states due to the law.

I don't think the back-up camera law started until MY18 vehicles, so it would be an option on his MY16 car.

Yup, aside from the camera and backup sensors, all else is factory base.
It's not all that uncommon though, for the 320i. Most people seemed to spec those out with the standard options and just add one or two things they'd like to have extra. I suppose that's because if you start adding a lot of packages, the price starts venturing into the base 328/330 range, encouraging a lot of buyers to go that route instead.

I'd be interested to see if anyone here (USA) has one more sparsely spec'd LCI F30.
Like mentioned above by auburnf30x there's probably a ton with a trade off option or two compared to mine, like maybe a moonroof or whatever and not the Driver Assistance Package. Appreciate all the responses, I definitely enjoy the four banger F30's. Cheap to purchase and operate, easy to maintain and modify, decent performance combined with respectable styling. |

Neither the rear view camera nor park distance control were standard for model year 2016. As was stated in a previous post the rear view camera did not become standard until it was required by law for model year 2018. Park distance control was never standard. It was always an option.
