Step-tronic - Optional paddles?

Considering new 320D M Sport Step Auto - my leasing company is giving me the £140 option for this model:

"Sports function on gearbox with steering wheel mounted gearshift paddles"

I thought paddle shift was standard on the Step Auto - any ideas would be a help, thanks!

nah, you need to have the "sport auto" option to get the paddle shifters, the standard auto won't come with them. You'll definitely want to tick that box if you want paddles

Not quite sure about that - the OP is in the UK, and their option packaging is quite different.

In any case, the regular "steptronic" can be shifted manually using the gearshift - move left (or might be right in UK?), then forward/back. It's easier with the paddles, and makes you feel a bit more like Jackie Stewart or the other F1 drivers.

lmao..sorry brother..was just kidding. Gas here is higher than the rest of the country..so I feel the pain. Currently, diesel is (or was) about $1.00 cheaper a gallon than premium fuel...but I'm seeing $5.00/gal currently. Less than you but we're producing our own and selling it to other countries so they can rake us over the coal. Biggest reason I bought a x28 car...that little turbo 4 is a fuel sipper

Lol, I know it sucks, however it's all marketing on what people over there use.

Don't buy diesels, - check don't sell big engine diesels.

Don't buy tourers - only provide limited selection.

Don't buy manuals - check, majority of population only drive autos.

It's a shame, especially when you read just what can be done with a 335d, RS Springs, ACS power upgrade, thicker Birds ARB, decent tyres etc.

Pretty much a 4.6 0-60 car that can give 50mpg (not at same time lol)

And you're making fun of the brits? Dude.......you're not far off, and at least they have the excuse of ridiculous high taxes and double/triple taxes too boot.

$2.57/gallon for diesel here man, $2.99/gallon for premium (and that's top tier Conoco).

Yeah, if we got the 335d tourer over here people might change their mind (probably not LOL), but just having that hauling ass wagon with that mileage......

Get it tuned, plump up a nitro-meth injection system.....and then make those pansies in their Camaros cry. lol

Oh well, maybe someday........

It's all a scam. Refinery fires (conveniently, they seem to occur once a year and rotate amongst plants) and the 'summer blend' that California requires. Reports are that the gas manufactured here is being shipped to El Salvador, Mexico, etc. because they can get more $$ for it...and then because stock is 'low'..the price goes up. As of July 1st, CA taxes DROPPED by 6 cents a gallon. We never saw the drop because of the ^ above issues. A barrel is about $58. Gas is almost as high here as it was when a barrel cost over $100. Tell me this isn't greed. This is exactly why I bought a turbo 2liter. I refuse to pay these bastards any more than necessary
