2014s - do you have ambient lighing on door panels?

Hey guys
So i got a 2016 328 loaner while my car was in shop.. wow what a nice car- and that motor is no slouch, was plenty fun to drive and i liked how it sound- reeminded me of that subaru WRX sound.

Anyhow the next morning going to work i was amazed at the awesome ambient lighing in the car! LOVED the lighting on the door panels!

How can one tell if a 2014 335 sedan would have them?

I have it on my 14 335. It's noticeable, but it's definitely no spot light.

Think the white looks brighter than the blue, but both stand out.

I have a 14' 428i and I do have the ambient lighting, but it's a joke compared to other cars. Even the 2016 X1 has amazing ambient lighting.

My '14 has it on the doors. I have a Sport Line so you can choose between white (Sport) or amber (Classic). It shows up better on certain color interiors.

It is much more pronounced on lighter color interiors. Not very visible on black although the sport(white) is more visible than classic(Amber).

Really? It's pretty bright on my black interior. Maybe they did make it brighter

The ambient lighting on the door trims are definitely brighter on my LCI 330i compared to my pre-LCI 328i (2012)

Should be there for sure, but it is significantly 'brighter' on a lighter interior car.

There may be zero validity to this, but there are two adjustments for the interior lights. First you have your dial which adjust instrument panel, gauge, ambient lights, etc. Second in iDrive you can adjust the brightness of the interior ambient lights.

I was super not satisfied with mine when I first got the car, but I fussed with the settings like so;

1) Turn the manual dial to max brightness
2) In your iDrive settings drop the ambient lighting all the way down, then back up

See if it seems any brighter; I posted on this a while back http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...1076576&page=2

I was wondering if I could code that. That would have been so cool!
