For some reason the JB4 app only shows Oil Temperature, stuck at 190deg when I connect in the mornings. I try to reconnect and cycle power, but it doesn't change anything. When it does this I can tell the JB4 is not working since ther are no needle movements when you start the car and no indications like boost on fuel or AFR on cruise indicator.

When i drive home from work in the afternoon it connects fine and displays all data like it normally does. I have checked all the wiring and connections twice now and can't find any issues. I havn't made any changes on the JB4 in the last two years. I pretty much just use it for the ease of bluetooth connction to my phone for easy datalogging and monitoring. I have the BM3 stage 2 do all the performance stuff.

I found some troubleshooting info on the JB4 app only displaying boost numbers when the OBDII port is not connected, but that is not my issue. My google searches have not been helpul either.

Anyone else deal with this issue before?

So the jb4 is or is not connected to the obd port?

the JB4 is plugged into the OBDII port, but I think I have a bad connection in the OBDII wire running back to the JB4. I was wiggling and repossitioning the connector and it started reading correctly again. At first I didn't see the boost numbers when it wasn't working though I thought it was more than just a bad OBDII connection, but it is reading boost so I have a good bluetooth connection and the JB4 iteself is working.

I wonder if I can just order a new OBDII connector/cable?

Yeah bms should give you a new one under warranty if you have proof of purchase. It's simple to replace.

Ended up just ordering a new OBDII cable and it fixed it.
