The S-FLO does indeed make the turbo spool more potent since the full carbon turbo inlet pipe removes the factory silencer, and it will cause you to get into boost a lot more frequently (ask me how I know). It does help the flow and influences the sound of the exhaust as more air in equals more air out. Both plastic and carbon fiber have similar thermal conductivity. The carbon fiber allows us to create larger air box volumes and free form shapes to maximize the size and flow of the air filter. I recorded this for ya so you could get sense of the sound emitted from the intake when you let off the throttle. |

WOW, that surely is one sexy looking intake!
Curious, how would performance compare to say a less restrictive (e.g. K&N / aFe) panel filter in the OEM airbox?

I wish I had a dyno graph comparing the two configurations, but I don't, unfortunately. Just stock vs the S-FLO.

I ordered mine over 4 weeks ago. AWE has had a back up with one of their vendors. I'm REALLY anticipating getting this into my hands soon. Josh at AWE had been great with updates.
