Lock malfunction f30

I've had this happen to me once as well. I thought it was the comfort access that let me in and then I realized I didn't have my keys. I haven't gotten it to pop up again, but the same door and everything. I think mine is failing as well and will need to be replaced. Occasionally it gets stuck and won't open when you pull the handle, so you have to use the unlock button.

Not seen that particular issue but mine randomly wouldn’t unlock the front doors after a drive and switching the engine off. The dealer changed both front door lock motors under warranty.

Went to the dealer to get it fixed. Apparently it is a common problem for 3 and 5 series from what the sa told me.

Is it a particular build year problem? Or the complete range? (2012 - 2018)

Same thing...fixed under warranty. I think it was the door lock actuator. Common.

Did your fail completely? Mine is random when it occurs.

Random to start then complete failure after about 2 weeks.
