I have just request bmw to code my f30 during service and i want to know if the m performance logo appears only on the gauge or on the nav screen as well? cheers!

It shows up on the Instrument Cluster and on the HUD (it you have it), but not on the main iDrive screen.

It would be cool if it showed on the nav screen but it's just on the dash and HUD like Frogman said. He coded mine.

Let us know if you are successful in getting the dealer to do this.

I wouldn't think that they would be willing (or even knowing how) to do this.

hey frogman.. my friend has the extended display with HUD and the mpm logo only shows up on the instrument cluster.. is there another section that we need to set aktiv for mpm logo to show up on his HUD? please help.. thanks!

It shows up in the HUD with that one setting, but it's usually not visible when you first start the car.

The HUD splash screen only displays for about 4 seconds, then goes away. When you start the car cold, the HUD takes 5-7 seconds before anything is displayed, so you miss it.

Try stopping and restarting the car quickly, you should be able to see the logo in the HUD.

I think the parameter KOMBI / 3110 / HUD_STARTUP_TIME can be changed to extend the start-up display time. The units are 0.1 seconds and the default is 28x (40 decimal, or 4.0 seconds). You can try increasing this, but I have not tested it, so you're on your own here. If you do change it, please post your results!

yea i think its too quick to see it on the HUD, will try to increase the start-up time to see if logo shows up.. thanks Frogman..

It is in the car (beginning with ISTA/P 2.48 I believe), but you need 6WA Kombi.

6WA is a vehicle option for the Instrument Cluster with Expanded Display.

You can check your car's options on BMWVin.com to see if it has 6WA.

Yes, you must have 6WA. I tried coding it on a car without it and the logo does not show up.

I enabled it on my car when it had 2.47.4 on it. That's when the new start-up logo first appeared in my car. I had 2.46.3 previously (and no \\BMW// logo).
